A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Star I've watched one episode of it. It was ok but I didn't watch anymore. Not because I wasn't interested...I forget why. I was ok with the other cartoon though. It occurred to me that when I was little, I was more into comedy cartoons. Looking at it now, I was like... "I don't know why. I shoulda watched this show a long time ago.

Modern-era Batman is altogether too dark for my tastes. He's interesting on a certain level, but I have a hard time finding him compelling as a protagonist. Batman Beyond had a much more human lead and supporting cast, so I found it easier to take, and the slightly more colourful art style was also nice.
Though that said the comics have almost frustratingly good writing. I want to give it up because it's so dour, but it's so damn good I just can't.
And then they go an introduce a series with the cute gay side character and his awesome sister who've only shown up a couple of times in a 30-comic run in a major role, and dammit...
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I wish I loved these shows when I was younger. When Firefly was on, I was watching Mega Babies...a show which I hated as a kid but watched anyway. Geez.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Adam West shall always be the true face of Batman for me.
My introduction to Batman was The Dark Knight, and ever since I saw it in 2009 I've been a pretty big fan of that franchise. I pretty much consider the Animated Series, The Dark Knight Trilogy and the Arkham Asylum video games {Aside from the mediocre prequel} to be the best Batman media outside of the comics. I also own the comics "Batman Year One", "The Long Halloween" and "Dark Victory", which sort of make up a trilogy. Also, "Batman: Mask of the phantasm" is my favorite BTAS film.
BTW, not gonna lie, I rewatched the Tim Burton Batman films recently, and while they are good I can't help but find them overrated, especially the first one. I respect that the first film did cause people to take the character seriously again, and I think Danny Elfmen, Michal Keaton and Jack Nicholson did a great job, but besides those I really don't see what's so special about the first movie. I guess it really hasn't aged well over the years.
You want to be careful though since the concentrated pills make it a lot easier to overdose.
I ran into that problem too. Luckily I found a site online which had all the episodes.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI saw bits and peices of Batman Beyond as a kid but not enough to get a real feel for the show.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe first time I ever saw Batman would when the old be the Adam West show was shown on TV. Of course at the time I thought the show was brand new.
Oddly enough SF Debris just did a review of Batman Beyond today. And by Batman Beyond I mean that one episode of Justice League Unlimited.

As a kid I just liked it because it had cooler gadgets due to being set in the future.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI think 60s Batman may have been the first that I saw too, but I barely remember it. All I remember is that that's the only time I've seen Mr Freeze in the media.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI've been thinking of starting a blog but couldn't decide on a host. Any recommendations?
