A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I'll always love the 90s, but we're getting back to that place where animated TV shows can really push the envelope again.
I always want to smack people who say that all modern cartoons suck and that the 90s were the best ever.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI just don't like it when people are so blinded by the way things were, that they can't see the excellent work being done now.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlaySee, I actually prefer the early-2000's cartoons, where animation started taking off in other places in the world. Mainly because, in addition to it's own industry taking off then, Canada got a lot of imports, especially from france.
Oban Star Racers was a really good one, as was Code Lyoko. And now Wakfu. Seriously, I really never would have expected France to be so on-the-ball with TV. To say nothing of their animated movies, which are also great.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I've only seen isolated episodes of most cartoons, so I don't have quite the same nostalgia.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Kegisak: Yeah, Wakfu is awesome. Which reminds me that I need to catch the spinoff, Dofus Treasures Of Kerubim.
But yeah, current animation isn't that bad. Yeah, there are a few things that I think are dumb, but we have MLP, Adventure Time, Dan Vs, etc. And even back in the 90's/early 2000's there was crap being produced. It's just that the good stuff gets remembered.
I'll have to check Oban Star Racers.

Reaction Image RepositoryNot suprising. Have you seen Mona The Vampire or Corneil And Bernie? Those were two of my greatest examples of the power of French-Canadian TV. Also, Robot Boy.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceHuh, didn't know Mona The Vampire was French-Canadian. It had a much more even sound then I'd come to recognize from translated shows. I saw it, but I never really got into it.
Freds Head was always my favourite French Canadian show. I also liked Jacob Two Two, which I was wans't really french canadian, but it does take place in Montreal, so eh?
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Yeah, school comes first. For now, I watch more Adventure Time. Specifically "Beyond This Earthly Realm".

@CDRW: At the very least, you can be happy you didn't torpedo your chances with somebody that you've been crushing on for a while or anything.
Here have a Sisterhood moment.
