A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I don't know WHAT the Hell happened (I blame shenanigans) but we're going to start from scratch. Post your feels for this awesome show again! Naow!

Not strictly pony, but I'm kicking myself for not hearing about this comic sooner.

It's pony enough considering the few references.

@CDRW: That actually looks pretty cool.

As for high school, I honestly didn't mind it much, mainly because my experience was sort of atypical. The "misfit" clique ended up outnumbering the "popular" kids, which meant that they were actually some of the less popular people because nobody outside of their group really liked them.

Highschool wasn't bad in the sense that I didn't have bullying issues or anything like that, but I much prefer college since there's more freetime and the fewer irrelevant classes.

Can't say I can provide much for this topic... so... imagedump ahoy!

Edit: I was wrong. Apparently, I got rather ninja'd immensely. For school, I have to say I liked College the most, given the relative freedom, and lack of ill-intent. Middle school was where it was worst for me, given I had a whole class against me in 8th grade... (Never again, do I want to go to a physical education class!)

Yeah anyone from the comic thread can guess how my school years went.

only reason it wasn't the worst thing ever and a massive pain and torture to go to everyday, was it was the only place I never had to worry about dealing with another of my mom's drunken rage fits.

For a happier topic, I think I'll give Papers Please a second try. Let's see if I can make it four days without getting throwin in jail this time.

That "Heavenly Nostrils" comic is pretty funny.

@Orion: Hey, have you heard of a comic called "Heavenly Nostrils"? It's about a human girl finding a unicorn and becoming friends with her. It's pretty funny, and Marigold (the unicorn) sounds like a lot of ponies I've talked to.

Reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes, albeit less... edgy? Not sure that's quite the right word.

@Wryte: It's not so much "edgy" as "the main character is less of a brat". Calvin was all about getting into trouble and deliberately grossing people out and bothering them. Pheobe is mischievous, but a lot less of a troublemaker.

Of course, Calvin was also hyper-intelligent.

Also, my newspaper is running late period Calvin and Hobbes strips, and it's kind of amazing how little of these I remember.

Calvin and Hobbes is that comic about a human boy and a talking tiger, right?
