A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules

Alright. I'm on my way out of town to get a drug screen, and then if it goes well, I'm pretty much hired at Walgreens. I'm feeling good :)
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/I know the first time I did a drug test, I had to retake it because the people doing the test messed it up.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI went to college when I started taking my medication. I don't see why it's even something you have to think about.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/@CDRW. I know that feel. Finally starting some meds I've gotten, and it's not doing anything yet. I hope they will help some time soon, I really want to go to college but the stress might really cripple me now. I can't decide for you, but go with the one that'll make you the most personally satisfied I'd say.
@Ike: Depression meds are notoriously finicky and difficult to adjust for the individual, and until you get just the right combination/dose figured out, they can really wreak havoc on your emotional state. Depending on how you can handle things, it could very well be preferable to put the classes aside so you don't have to mess with all that while you're trying to get your work done. And it's hard to really offer advice on because it's such an individual matter.
@CDRW: It basically comes down to how important you think it is to finish up school. If it's something you need done, you could try to push through.

Reaction Image RepositoryJT's explanation pretty much sums it up.
It's really important that I finish school. I've pretty much bet my entire future on it. The issue is that my depression has crippled my ability to work for several months, leaving me incredibly far behind on my work and with some new, really bad work habits. If I were to take off the semester, it would give me the opportunity to get stable without the added stress of school, build up my finances, and come back with a fresh start. I've even been assured that my spot in the school will be saved for me as long as it's only one semester.
On the other hand, it would put me even further behind in my work. Then there's the added fact that historically, my worst depressive episodes have happened during the summer breaks when I don't have anything to do. I'd have to keep myself really busy in order to keep from falling into that and I'd also have to make sure to practice my schoolwork during the interim as well, so that I don't lose everything I've built up so far.

I'd be tempted to say that as well, but that's from personal experience of being stressed really easily, and it might not apply to you. If you go stir-crazy when you don't have work, it might cause more problems. I don't suppose there's any possibility of splitting the difference and attending school part time?
Yeah, my last semester of grad school I only had one course outside of my thesis, and it was a lot less stressful than taking a full course load. If you only took one or two classes it would let you keep up with stuff and not get as rusty, while reducing the work load enough that it's not too much to handle. I have no idea if that's possible in your situation though.

Well Clare's 14 now, so it's to be expected. I was surprised they were able to keep up their younger-sounding voices for so long actually.
