A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Story: In relation to your Korra question: Yeah, kind of. Slightly darker, more story arcs, and more internal consistency when it comes to magic, but not grimdark.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectNo. That just kind of ruined Korra for me a bit.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectAsamakorra. Just sayin'.
Huh. Apparently I had the right pothole the first time.

Well, my mane 6 would probably have a dude in there.
Oh, wasn't the term 'Mane 6' used in a TV spot for the show recently?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWhy would you do that?
Anyway, I'd say that Korra is good in spite of the shipping, not because of it.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOkay, for those of you who haven't gone to bed, I did some work with the Cards Against Humanity thing. Here are the ones that I got that aren't either terrible or overly sexual. (Note, I replaced the cards of real-life people with ponies from the show)
Lifetime Presents "Being a dick to children", the story of Trixie.
What's there a lot of in Equestria? Unfathomable stupidity.
I never truly understood self loathing until I encountered Fleur de Lis/Nightmare Moon. (not sure which is better)
Coming to Broadway this season, Daring Do: The Musical.
In a world ravaged by Rarity/Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy, our only solace is Rarity/Pinkie Pie/Fluttershy. (can't believe I drew all 3 of those in one set. And, not sure which combination is best)
Another Goddamn Vampire Movie: good to the last drop. (possibly starring Cadence, since I drew her card in that set)
My Little Pony: Being Rich is Magic. (the "MLP: ____ is magic" card is one I made up, because how could I resist)
Step 1: Magic Beans. Step 2: Science. Step 3: Profit.
What's a girl's best friend? Crystal meth. (possibly featuring Rarity)
For my next trick, I will pull The Smooze out of a live studio audience.
What ended my last relationship? BEES.
The class field trip was completely ruined by getting really high.
What are my parents hiding from me? Being a motherfucking sorcerer.
"Make a Haiku" (meaning, pick any 3 cards). Applejack, Alcoholism, and Vigilante Justice.
Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's being fabulous.
Dear Princess Celestia/Princess Luna, I'm having some problems with The Filly Scouts (or, Bitches) and would like your advice. (yeah, I somehow drew both of them in one round)
Why do I hurt all over? Spontaneous Combustion. (I kinda wanna combine this one with What's my secret power?)
8 ounces of heroin (or, a subscription to a fitness magazine) is a slippery slope that leads to Queen Chrysalis.
What's the most emo? Preteens.
It's a pity that kids these days are all involved with Twilight Sparkle.
This is how the world ends: not with a bang, but with sweet, sweet vengeance.
What never fails to liven up a party? Discord.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Someone needs to totally write this.
Though come to think of, it's not far off from Sergeant Calhoun.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayIs everything awesome? Is everything cool because I'm part of a team?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSo the livestream I'm watching has just come up with an awesome theory. The Last Unicorn is Celestia's origin story. Or a prequel to it, more like.

Most of them do. Just pick your favorite and go to town.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayCute episode, very nice all around. I do wish the CMC's specialties had more to do with the talents implied in "The Show Stoppers", but that's just me. And Sweetie Belle finally learned how to do magic. They're growing up so fast.
Is it just me, or did the plot point of Twilight being a mentor to the CM Cs feel rather sudden? They kind of alluded to the idea in "The Show Stoppers" and "Call of the Cutie", but then they dropped it for the next two seasons and I assumed it'd been discarded. It actually took me a minute to remember it wasn't written purely for this episode.

Rarity, that never ends well for your own dreams
Burgers are Twilight's thing now. Sorry, Twilight's established personality.
that burger scene was my favorite part of the episode.
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Considering how much Twilight put away in one go, kinda makes you wonder if she's one of those people who gets so into stuff that she forgets to eat...
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.

I'm gonna hit the sack now. I'll dig up more burger-obsessed Twilight tomorrow.
