A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

No he hasn't. He said he might later if it becomes a problem, but I don't think he has yet.
Also this. They've already dug out of the zone three times.
Unlikely. Catching those is extremely rare, even without the button mashing and lag.
Twitch is in the Safari Zone in democracy!
I'll definitely agree to that!
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMan, I'm continually impressed with how ignorant the voters in democracy are. It's like noone understands the lag at all.
You'd think they'd have figured it out after the first minute or two. I did just by watching.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI was immagining something like the Vegan police.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHe has done some decent realistic ones in the past for some Pony art project things, so it seems he's just trying to find a more 'simple' style.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMan people are such idiots. How hard is it to figure out that there's a lag guys? I'll be really mad if democracy fails at the zone.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlaySo how exactly is this working anyway? Is it like people playing Pokemon and people are voting on things?

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYes. Basically, people type in a command to vote on what to do, and every 20 seconds the votes are added up and the most popular one is done. The problem is that there's a 20-30 second lag between when you type a command and when it actually goes through so you need to vote for what should be done one step ahead of what's actually on the screen. Unfortunately most people still haven't realized this somehow so they constantly overshoot on every turn and get endlessly stuck in battles.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Ed: Just look at the Twitch Plays Pokemon page. In short, somebody hooked up an IRC bot to a chat room that takes commands entered in the chat (up, down, left, right, a, b, start, select) and enters them into an emulated game of Pokemon. As the chat has tens of thousands of people entering commands, the overall effect is "two people fighting over a controller multiplied by thousands". And then it's highly subject to Memetic Mutation.
Reaction Image RepositoryAh OK. It's almost like a Pokemon reality show with live voting.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectExcept that most of the voters are well intentioned idiots. Of course the alternative is anarchy, where the inputs are pretty much random. This is what tehy do most of the time, but unfortunately, there's no way to get through the Sfari Zone on Anarchy.

That's only when "democracy" is active. At first all commands went through, resulting in it just being pure button mashing. Then when it took 2 days to clear the Rocket HQ, the admin created the democracy mode that Story described. But because it made things move so slowly, everyone rebelled against it, and as a result the admin created a system where users can vote on Anarchy (every move is entered) and Democracy (the most popular moves are entered), and it's been shifting back and forth since.

Reaction Image RepositoryThis sounds like complete insanity.
Related. Something about a ledge.
Just read the Epic fail page for it.

Seriously, it's a miracle they got as far as they have.
