A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Well that sounds relatively understandable. I'm talking about stuff like being confused about why your emails disappear when you click the clearly labeled delete button.
By the way, is there anything Pinkie really hates in canon?

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI have a slang question that also relates to My Little Pony. In the trading cards that mention Vinyl Scratch, they talk about something called "sick beats." I looked up dubstep slang and wasn't able to find a good definition of it, although I did see something that defined "sick" as a way of saying "cool" or "awesome." So does it just mean the music has an enjoyable beat, or does it mean something more specific in dubstep slang?
I just thought I would ask here even though this isn't a dubstep forum, since I couldn't find a definite answer elsewhere, and it's at least kind of related to the MLP series because that's the place I first saw that term mentioned.
I can just imagine her saying "Spoilers!"
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Yeah, that's not a dubstep term. It's been around since at least the 90s when people started using "sick" as a synonym for "good."

I had never heard of "sick" being used that way, although I've heard of "bad" being used to mean "good" and not in the sense of the Good Is Bad And Bad Is Good trope. I just learned something, then. I had assumed it had to do with dubstep because that was the first context I saw it used, but that's probably because I don't spend a lot of time around anyone besides my parents and their friends and a few other people who are not slangy teenagers (nor have I ever socialized much with my peers outside of what was required in school), so most of the newer slang I learn is from the Internet and the anime fandom.

@Story: My mom has computer issues sometimes, although generally it's stuff that's legitimately confusing until you get it explained. Like how to layer text boxes and clip art.
The worst comp thing I've ever actually seen was in high school when one of the guys in one of my classes saved some of his files to the recycle bin and then got mad at the teacher when it ended up getting deleted.
Reaction Image RepositorySometimes it is.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayGod fucking dammit. I've spent over 30 minutes working on this stupid application for a manager in training position at a store, and I can't finish it because there's a glitch in the system that keeps booting me back to the previous page.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Yeah, it was pretty hilarious. The teacher had like the perfect "Are you fucking serious?" face.
Reaction Image RepositoryWhy would you even save something to the recycle bin? What kind of mental hurdle would you have to jump to think that would be a logical place to stash your files in?
Actually, how do you even save something to the recycle bin in the first place? I didn't think it was an actual folder or anything.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Well, files do stay there as long as you don't empty it. But it must have been drag and drop in this case, because literally the only way you can 'save' something there is to DELETE it.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI don't remember exactly what happened or how he did it. It might have been that he realized that just deleting something didn't delete it entirely until the bin was empty. I don't know what he was trying to accomplish.
EDIT: For those who watch Twitch Plays Pokemon...

Reaction Image RepositorySo the guy over at the Big Picture did a thing about Robocop knock-offs
cause of the new movie that just came out and all. I mention this because one of the movies he mentions is Robo Vampire, an obscure movie about a cyborg man fighting Chinese vampires employed by a drug cartel. It has fascinated me ever since I came across this page
of it years ago. In fact I'm the guy who made the Robo Vampire page on this site. Its insanity trumps anything I've ever seen.
I just thought of something. What if RD sees AJ carrying a bunch of weight and gets jealous of her strength? She starts wearing weights to become stronger, but it messes everything up during flight training and causes havoc. She learns the lesson that you have to recognize your own talents and that trying to be good at everything just means you won't be good at anything.
Sound like something that would fit in the show?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI would think that strength training would be bad for a pegusus who wants to become renowned for her flying ability. All that extra muscle weight would just make precision flight more difficult, and I'd think RD would know that.
Course the show already has her matching AJ at hoof wrestling and Snowflake somehow manages to get off the ground, so what do I know?
Ug, I don't know what to do. I have a headache so I don't feel like doing anything, but I can't fall asleep either.

Her response to having the program freeze up was to hit the same button over and over and over until it let her close it.
