A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Ah the 90s. The Cartoon renaissance. We're doing quite well these days too.
Man, I loved me some Swat Kats.
this show introduced me to my personal favorite superhero (guess who
)
This is an awesome reactionpic
Hey, now it's the year I was born.
Have another wierd 90's intro
(Also as a Canadian I could probably show you some of the weirdest shit I remember from my childhood, but a lot of it simply isn't on Youtube because that's just how weird and obscure it is.)
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.1994 Iron Man Season Two was the best comic-to-cartoon yet from Marvel.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I vaguely rembember seeing something about Amelia Annaconda or whatever it was called. I don't think I ever watched the show though.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayYou're fortunate. I had a friend who liked it, but I could never stand to look at it for too long myself.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. It was one of my friends who introduced me to Sailor Moon. He was a huge fan, even going so far as to import unsubbed vhs tapes that were dubbed in Cantonese because that was the only way to get some episodes.
Mummies Alive was kinda weird, now that I remember it.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectIn other news, I just picked up Long Live The Queen on Steam. I played it for about an hour and already I get the impression that it's deceptively brutal. It lulls you into a false sense of security as you go so many weeks just training your would-be queen for the challenges you think she'll face, only to realize you forgot to teach her swordplay when someone challenges her to a duel. Or court etiquette when the diplomat of a powerful nation shows up. Or both when she blows a minor offense way out of proportion and challenges said diplomat to a duel herself, despite not knowing anything about fighting.

Anyone remember Biker Mice From Mars and Street Sharks? I remember really liking them, but not enough to know if they are actually good.
The 90's had the highest proportion of AWESOME cartoons :D
The names of the other Ponytones revealed

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Yeah, the 90's had great cartoons, if nothing else. Not to mention some of the greatest videogames ever. (Super Mario 64, any Legend Of Zelda stuff released during that time, the original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon games). Not to mention it's when Dream Theater basically created Progressive Metal as a viable genre.

In the nineties, I was... uh... learning to fly... yeah.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.
