A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I don't know WHAT the Hell happened (I blame shenanigans) but we're going to start from scratch. Post your feels for this awesome show again! Naow!

@Meta Four

Sounds good. Except shouldn't we just use 'author"?

When Octavia boarded the train that morning, she never could have guessed where it would take her. And neither could the authors.

I think we should try to avoid references to the author(s).")

Also, I haven't seen the Lego movie yet. Is it good?

I've got an idea for the title at least. How about we called it Derailed? It applies both literally and metaphorically.

@storyteller

It could work, so long as it is pair with the above summary, so as to avoid spoiling the true nature of the narrative.

Gaseousformations that are quite large and bright, with heated dust and gas particles glowing about half the heat of our sun. It's very bright. It's also the cluster of material that creates galaxies in a spiraling disk. so it's the birthplace of the galaxies.

It'd be easier to write a description if I knew what the first chapter was like. I can guess pretty well, but I haven't actually seen it.

Another approach would be to try to write a description that's literally true but completely misleading.

Ooh: I just had another idea. "Two strangers meet on a train. Only one will walk away".

This is best option.

That's not technobabble though. Quasers are a real thing.

Or you could just go read Wikipedia yourself.

Lego Movie is awesome. Unikitty needs more screentime. Unikitty is heartrendingist woobie.

Other than that, what's going on?

Not really. In general, I've found that they do a good job of having accessible introductions, especially for articles that would be of interest to laymen. I mean, nothing you do is going to make Class Field Groups comprehensible to the average person but it's usually written to be understandable by the least sophisticated audience that would have interest in the subject. For some stuff like Relativity which is both of general interest and extremely technical, they have seperate tehcnical and nontechnical articles.

Yeah, I think something like "We just don't know what went wrong." would be a pretty fitting summary. Now we just need a cover image.
