A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

But even then, you'd think that once she realized he wasn't a jackass that she wouldn't still freak out. Although she does seem to have been a fan longer than in Blueblood's case.
Also, AJ can pull off fashion a lot better than Rarity can pull off country.

Reaction Image RepositoryIt's like Rarity developed Mokocchi Syndrome
The only thing I'm thinking is, "Mousa's gonna have a conniption."
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Well with Blueblood she knew nothing about him and was mostly attracted to him because of status and some fairy tale romance. With Trenderhoof she'd actually read his articles and was more attracted to him personally rather than just being attracted to an idea, so I can see her reaction to him being a bit different.
Gotta wait on that, one, he's having his mind torn to pieces by the Dresden Files book he's on.
And I think it's in character for Rarity to be a bit anxious. she can't be posed and assured all the time, and since her last date didn't go so well, it's understandable why she'd be nervous. Plus she had time to build respect for the uy, creating anticipation.
What's more I'd like to see more adorkable Rarity, it's a side we rarely see. Normally she's either posed or completely losing it.

OK... Is anyone else bothered that this is the third episode in a row where the plot of the episode revolves around a male secondary character. I'm OK with Three's a Crowd, because Discord, and Pinkie Pride because Weird Al, but I just think it's annoying that they placed this episode right next to them. I'm hoping Filli Vanilli isn't a boy band.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I compare Rarity meeting Trenderhoof to RD meeting Daring Do: Both were meeting their idols, and both went into awestruck, tongue-tied, adorkable fangirl mode.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out! It's just an issue of the placement of the episode. I'm just annoyed this is the third in a row.

It didn't bother me. In fact, I didn't even notice until you brought it up.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!I think the best part about Tabitha St. Germain in this episode is its hard to tell if she's doing a great job at Rarity doing a bad impression or a bad job at Rartiy doing a good impression.
Yeah, I didn't even think of it either. I certainly don't see it as a problem, given that like 90% of the primary cast is female. If the guys were all universally portrayed as being strong and better and saving the cast from their issues it would be a problem, but Discord was an antagonist and Cheese and Trenderhoof were both pretty flawed.
Reaction Image RepositoryWhy would that be bad? The show could really use some male characters.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.aww shoot, I slept through the new episode again!
guess I'll have to wait till it hits youtube...
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider! If Filli Vanilli is a boyband, they need to have a talk with their PR agent.
Not that I'd complain about an episode full of girlyboys, but I mean, come on. Poor guys.
Also, first huminization of Applejewel
. It looks nice, but the patterned back makes me think of a beetle... or a ladybug, at least.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.

How you know she's doing it right: Rarity makes you want to wince and laugh simultaneously.
I really lost it at the countrified "funn-ay."
