A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

-taps button on his glasses-
...fascinating. someone took the love "potion" the CMC used, and converted it into an inhalant.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.@Sunset: -still looking at readout from glasses- that maybe the case, but our culprit has made a number of changes to the formula, substituted ingredients.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Yep.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayDon't tell me you've gone to the cabin in the woods.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayAw crap, Wryte got infected. Somebody blindfold the guy so he doesn't imprint on someone.
Hopefully Dark will be immune due to eating special brownies.
No but a bezoar would probably work.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHey, bros. just wanted to say if you get to chance, follow my ask blog. New updates are up!
Whelp, I finally caught up on Season 4. I'm glad to say that my worries were mostly unfounded.
Can't day the season got of to a good start, though. "Princess Twilight" continued the trend of me generally not liking two-parters, though I would like to give an honourable mention to the bits that featured Discord; Equestria's most magnificent asshole. Apart from those bits, I hardly remembered what went on in that episode, but I'm glad they got rid of the elements of Harmony as a "solve plot" button.
Castle-mania was good for some hearty laughs. Simple comedy is often quite effective.
Daring Don't didn't really do it for me. Caballeron was pretty fun, and it's a shame they got rid of him that fast. Ahuizotl was quite the ham, but lacking in any real personality to make a good villain. Also, having the Daring Do suddenly turn out to be real doesn't make an awful lot of sense in any universe.
Flight to the Finish lost some points by being about the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Maybe it's because I'm such an old fart, but I have a bit of a hard time connecting to their problems as it were. Kind of weak episode overall as well.
Power Ponies was fun, though seeing Fluttershy hulk out and solve the problem through the magical power of violence like that felt a little out of place in this series. At least the looks on the faces of the other ponies made it look like they agreed on this.
Bats was good. I bet the fanartists had a field day with Flutterbat, and Fluttershy really rocked those Cute Little Fangs at the end. Would have been better if her plan for getting rid of the bats made any sense whatsoever. Also, Twilight, remember what happened the last time you used magic to convince a verminous species to stop eating what you didn't want them to eat? Finally, the song just felt wrong. I really think they could adjus the lyrics to the melody a bit better.
Rarity Takes Manehattan was were the series really started to pick up for me, which was funny since I always say that "Applejack is best pony, but Rarity gets the best episodes". I thought it was a very honest and optimistic episode, which is just the kind of thing that goes well with my anti-depressants.
Pinkie Apple Pie: Applejack is best pony, the Apples are best family, and Pinkie is always good for a few laughs. Yeah, this episode was a winner before they even started. The song was some good icing on the cake.
Rainbow Falls: Slightly worse than the previous episode, but still good.
Three's a Crowd was a bit of a wash. Discord makes pretty much everything better, but this was definitely the weakest use they got out of him. Good to know that he hasn't completely given up on screwing with ponies just because.
And finally, Pinkie Pride, which actually managed to get on my short list of episodes tht I thought were completely amazing. Weird Al really hit it out of the park with his guest appearance. The songs were great, the story was great, the gags were great. Overall, incredibly good stuff.
So yeah, quit an all right season so far. Glad to count myself among the active fans again.

@Japanese Teeth I don't know, I've never cured someone who got infected with Love Gas before.
