A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@JT: -shrug-. I'm mostly aware of it for how it was made fun of. I don't see it either, myself. It's just a thing, I guess. Fashions come and go.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I had an old flip phone (not a smart phone at all) for about 4 years. Now I have an iPhone. It's pretty cool.

http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/I have a hand-me-down iPhone that can stand on its side just fine. The pictures it takes vary wildly from decent to terrible, though (at least as far as lighting is concerned). Without the hand-me-down, I'd probably still be using an old flip phone (which could, interestingly enough be strategically positioned to stand up and take a picture, but I don't think it had a delay function; also, it would take every worse photos than the iPhone).

Got my 2nd-gen ipod touch secondhand (factory refurbished at secondhand price, great deal), and my ipad was bought after the next model came out and the price dropped (and was driven lower by using discount vouchers). Only one I paid full price for is my 4th-gen ipod.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! If I ever get a Mac it'll have to be refurbished, because those are still around a thousand bucks.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Luminosity: I did buy an iPod for myself. I find it to be a quality product. Now if only the Windows iTunes was decently programmed...
EDIT:
And they're pretty much going to stay at that price. Mac ownership is an exclusivity club.

It's simple and easy to use, but trouble-shooting is a pain because Apple doesn't give the user many manual options. I'd say the iPod is probably their best product, it's pretty intuitive and problems rarely crop up (I have way more issues with iTunes crashing or being a memory hog).
I got to try a Mac computer for school for a bit and I found it rather lacklustre. As far as I'm concerned, it's a far more expensive computer that doesn't have any noticeable performance advantages and can't run a very large portions of the programs (especially games) out there. It seems to be more a badge of "I can afford to drop $1200 on the Apple-equivalent of a $600 PC, so I'm totally rich, yo!"
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI have an ipod, which works pretty good. Itunes is a bit clunky, but I don't have to use it much aside from when I'm adding music. I also have an old iphone that I got for cheap as part of my cell phone plan. It's useful for apps and checking my email or whatever, but I wouldn't say it's particularly awesome compared to any other smartphone. I've never used a Mac, and in general they strike me as costing too much and being too limited. Yeah, windows has issues, but it's generally compatible with way more stuff and the type of laptop I'd want to use literally costs only about half of what a comparable macbook would cost.
Reaction Image RepositoryI think it's pretty good. You can use it as a cell phone to call or text people. You can use it as a camera to take and store photos. You can use it as a media player for music, video and e-books. And you can access the internet. It's all consolidated into one device, so I find it rather convenient.
The only apps I use besides that are the Notes and Evernote apps, in case I need to write anything down or save articles for later. I don't even use many of the built-in apps like the calendar, clock, calculator, stocks, etc. I think they're dumb and I have no use for them so I put them all in a folder and moved it to another page so they aren't in the way.
I find iTunes to be far more of a hassle on my computer than on my iPhone (or iPod). What's the problem? :l

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I have an old Nexus S, but I only use it for taking pictures. I haven't even gotten a plan for it yet.
