A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Existence Weighed Against Nonbeing
Obviously
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayAfter King Evergreen of the North fell in battle with the Necromarecer, Queen Crystaria of Equestria planted a crystal seed atop his grave in his memory. Evergreen's earth pony magic seeped into the land itself as his body returned to the earth, giving rise to the Everfree Forest. It also mixed with Crystaria's blessed crystal seed, causing it to grow into the Tree of Harmony and bear crystallized magical fruit linked to the emotions felt between the two rulers when they faced the Necromarecer.
A question. A lot of Lyra jokes, as well as a line at the end of Equestria Girls (I have the DVD but have never atually watched it. Gotta remedy that) sometimes have to do with the "what are 'hands'?" joke.
But, it's no as though ponies wouldn't know about what hands are. Not with monkeys and minotaurs around.
I have a message from another time...Something I forgot to bring up back when Rainbow Falls was being discussed - the fact that sticky hooves are now confirmed. I don't think they've ever shown adhesive hooves directly on screen like that before. Maybe they're magnetic.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Enlong: On the flipside, in Equestria Girls Rainbow Dash explicitly asks what a hand is. Granted, they also use the word in idioms (gimme a hand, etc.), but whether or not they know what it is seems a bit unsure. In any case, it doesn't seem to be common. For monkeys and Spike they might just use other words, like paws or claws.
My guess is that there's something special about the baton that causes the stickiness, but who knows?

Reaction Image RepositoryWell those are horseshoes, which are, you know, supposed to stay on their feet. And possibly the horseshoes are given a mild adhesive to make the game work better.
Also, yes, possibly it's a magically constructed tree. Fun spoilers. >:P
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/@Crimson: Well, lookie here... Orion and Thunderlane... how convenient.
-shrugs, placing a plushie into a box and heading off- Don't mind me. Just mailing something off to a certain unicorn.
@Crow: Well, that does make me scratch my head a fair bit... along with the data of Minotaurs existing... I may have to handwave this one with the fact that a majority of ponies never met a creature possessing hands.
