A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Purple Isnt there a library near you that you could borrow any movie from?
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qYeah, nice as it would be there's really no turning point into adulthood. Nothing changes but what you can do, so for a long time - possibly even the rest of your life - you feel vaguely like you're masquerading rather than actually an adult. And you do mature shit sometimes, but othertimes you just say fuck it and do whatever.
It's actually fairly liberating when you realize that adulthood is literally defined by what you do. I've made Pancakes for dinner for a week straight for no reason beyond I could, and nobody would reasonably try to stop me.
Of course you do have to keep a check on that shit, otherwise it'll get out of hand, fast...
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I think it's more the ability to get R-rated material that would normally require parental approval.
Reaction Image RepositoryRainbow Dash is straight, Marston. She's not gonna start dating any princesses no matter how vivid your fantasies. Also, you guys are kinda douchebags for the whole rainbows equals gay connection. A pony's mane color has nothing to do with their orientation.
@ Sunshet Shimmer: Is that the best you've got? Really? You'd think Princess Trollestia's personal student would have better comeback's than that.
Oh wait, you flunked out.

For what it's worth we haven't really seen any evidence on Dash's sexuality one way or another - you'd know better than us, having been her friend and all, but when it comes down to it it's no more offensive to assume she's gay then to assume she's straight. Statistically less likely, but not more offensive.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I've never had any problems with that, apart from not getting to see The Matrix as a kid.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Gilda Look, we're al just joshing around. It's pretty much everyone's own opinion. Some ponies think one thing and others think another. I don't think Rainbow swings that way (as far as I know) but it's interesting to hear everyone else's opinion. I've heard other people's opinion and it caused me t think about. I might not agree but hey, that's why their called opinions.
@Story I had a ton of chances to see The Matrix as a kid but I thought that the movie was overrated and overplayed. People say that it blew their minds but, aside from a few unique techniques, I couldn't fully embrace that movie. But I like it better than the sequels.

https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qI never said that her rainbow mane had anything to do with her sexual orientation. And besides, since when did you have the right to call others douchebags? Your not exactly the polar opposite of a Jerkass yourself, what with your behavior in Ponyvile and your general attitude.
@Gilda Seriously, I know you have a deadpan snark attitude but calm down. If you don't want us to go into a certain territory that is personal to you, we wont push any further. Right, guys? You don't have to ...shoot us down and keep us away. You know?

https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qThe Matrix works a lot better if you put yourself in a 1999 mindset before watching it. So wear baggy jeans and listen to grunge to warm up for the movie.
@Purple I tried to understand The Matrix at the time when it came out. I just didn't really care. When I finally watched it, I was like...ok, it wasn't as big as everyone made it out to be. Maybe the sequels would be better. Well, the sequels made the original better. I thought the sequels were too bloated and too confusing. The reason that the sequels were bad, is because there was a LOT more money thrown at it and it tried so hard to top itself. The story was confusing, a few things didn't add up and, by the 3rd movie, I just didn't care. I didn't care about the characters, I didn't care about the story, I didn't care about this big epic conclusion that had a climax that didn't really click with me. The original was good because the filmmakers didn't have a HUGE budget. It was enough to get the story across. If the sequels followed the things that the 1st one did, with some new things that didn't feel forced or half assed, it wouldn't have felt so bloated and, at times, boring.

I feel only constant anxiety.
