A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I usually just stand there or try to struggle out if it becomes too restrictive.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayFor the unwanted hugs, I would try to evacuate myself, saying that I appreciate the thought, but maybe now is not a good time.
As for you, dear unicorn... umm... well... oh, how do I say this? It might be odd of me to admit, but I think I'm actually kinda pullin' a Starscream here... and actually likin' ya as a close friend... oh, I'm going to incur the wrath of the shippers for this... Sunset, I can definitely say we both like each other at least as acquaintances... though... perhaps the relationship could be... more?
@pony equivalent of hugs an' kisses: Seems fairly logical, though if I recalled right, Pinkie did actually hug a couple ponies with her forehooves.
@Sunset: Problems... I see you're quite logical with that, and a good play from ya... Though... it does bring about a few counter-problems... namely, getting a way from the other earth to this earth to keep the form... isn't the gate something of a once every full moon or something like that? Oh, trouble indeed... where's a teleportation invention when ya need one, or one of those transformy boxy thingies in Calvin and Hobbes when ya need it?
Looks like I came on at an interesting moment.
Also, Kegisak basically summed up my thoughts on the pandering thing. It is a legitimate concern that they focus too much on it, but I don't think they've hit that point yet. Look at Double Rainboom for why it could be a problem; a lot of jokes in that animation make no sense unless you're really active in the fandom.
Reaction Image Repository@JT: If a reference takes up about 10 seconds of time in an episode and doesn't detract in any way, it ain't pandering to me.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Sunset: Well... I think a theory may exist, though how sound it is, that is unknown, but here goes... Give Equestria and other Earth for example... hopping into other earth would render you into a humanoid figure, correct? Hopping back to Equestria would render you a pony if I saw correct... so... the big thing is, I may have compressed the problems into one easy-to-solve package (relatively speaking). Would a teleport from the real Earth to other Earth or Equestria render a polymorph is the big question.
@Dark: Somehow, I think success will be made... somehow... though... if I was to head to Sunset, my theory I just described... could leave me eternally equinoid or colored if things aren't absolutely sound with this theory above.
@Pandering to the base: I've got almost naught to say on that matter. If they go too deep with the stuff in question though, I can definitely see detraction in the form of frayed plotline.
With their forelegs like a human. Pinkie does it a lot.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Sunset Shimmer: you have a very appealing color scheme.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.@Sunset: Well, I'm not sure how it'd be bad... just a minor thing for me to keep note of if I do manage a way to other Earth or Equestria. After all, some science is high risk, high reward.
Science can be confusing sometimes to be honest, especially when it gets theoretical. Where's that free man when we need him?
Still, could be a Kafka-esque experience at first.
... Why the hell has nobody ever done a Human-In-Equestria crossover with The Metamorphosis?
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.

I'm reminded of one of those For Want Of A Nail fanfics, where (among other differences) the mane six hugged Nightmare Moon out of Princess Luna.
