... Oh wow.

So it turns out the whole reason Molestia got taken down was because of one complete accident.

Nicole Oliver retweeted a pic from it, and Hasbro immediately took notice. Everything went downhill from there.

On the plus side, at least Joseco started up a Gamer Luna blog in the aftermath.

So Hasbro were the ones who took down Molestia. In which case I still stand by what I said on Friday.[tdown]

@Nom: It was the mashed potato pic, wasn't it?

Oh well, he was apparently planning on ending it anyway, and all the posts are cataloged on Derpi anyway.

But if you were calmer it would be a lot less grating. Sad to say, but true.

As for alignments, I think I'd qualify as lawful good. Or at least the stricter sense of right and wrong seems to fit me best.

Nicole who now? :l

And I'm surprised they didn't take it down before, since they're the ones who did it. It's not like it's a new blog or something, it's been going on for a few years.

Ike, you really should know the voice actors by now. She's Celestia and Cheerilee.

Speaking of pony voice actors, Claire Corlett may have, or has written a script for Jan Animations. At the very least, she's open to the idea of collaborating meaning we may actually get sweetie's VA into the Buttons project.

@Star Oh don't worry. I've been calm for the past few hours. In fact, I hadn't been trying to be excited. Just like how bad Judge Dred was.

I've heard that the recent Judge Dredd film known as Dredd is actually really good. I should check it out sometime.

As for the Molestia thing, I'm just mainly bugged by the hypocrisy on Hasbro's part: A very suggestive and borderline NSFW tumblr is bad for them, but an actual pony clop game that's quite infamous is perfectly okay for some reason.

[up] If you want so bad it's good, go to Stallone's Dredd....but logically, Bones' Dredd is much better. I just like it when Stallone says LAW!

@Star I guess the reason the movie bombed was because the other movie was bad and everyone assumed that...you know, the remake would be even worse.

From what I've heard, that is pretty much the reason why the film bombed, as when most people think of Judge Dredd they think of the terrible 90's film and not the {From what I've heard} pretty good comics.

[down]Speaking as someone who's watched a ton of his videos, I highly doubt he was being serious when he said that.tongue

As a certain critic (Brad Jones) says...no matter how good the remake is, the original is always better. After the good reception of Dredd, I laugh at that quote.

But then again who the hell is going to a cinema, watching a remake film to a well known comic book series that's surprisingly good ends up being compared to the Sylvester Stallone movie and then tanks at the box office? And the latter movie came out what 18 years or so?

@Star You'd be surprised. After all, we do live in a time where there's nothing but sequels and remakes, we may have to get used to it for a while. I have! (sets a poster of Carrie remake on fire) I mean, I know there re people out there who are getting tired of these things and I completely understand. But, because there are so many bad remakes and sequels, there's an actual good thing and it's so underappreciated. It bugs a lot of people and, I'm not going to lie, it gets under my skin.

Hollywood might have clearly ran out of ideas when there's only those two things. T Hat's why I end up watching movies that are 20 years old. The only reason I watch remakes is because I'm a masochist. If the season is going to be not but sequels and remakes that are really bad, then that's when I know that Hollywood isn't trying anymore. It's all about the money, never the scripts.

I know I'm rambling but if there isn't an original movie in the next few weeks, I will completely give up and only watch 3 movies a month.

Sounds like it was just a chance occurence rather than part of deliberate policy.
