A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Hi Gwen!
Bye guys! I need to get some sleep! Wish I'd been here sooner but I was re-watching hearts and hooves day. :l
Goodras are too messy for Rarity to be a Goodra. A Dragonite perhaps...
oh well. by the way, has anyone made a list of all the spells Twilight can do?

http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/No, though I considered it. Boast Busters has the most, but there's other random ones scattered throughout the seasons and it'd be a pain to track them all down.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayCan someone explains this one? At best, I thought the moral and story were closer to "Sweet and Elite" and "Wonderbolts Academy" (Spitfire holding the Jerkass Ball and Rainbow Dash choosing her friends over being with the Wonderbolts). I didn't see anything resembling "Sonic Rainboom" aside from this being a competition and there's nothing resembling "Mysterious Mare Do Well" at all.
Speaking of "Sweet and Elite" that's under Broken Base for having it's moral rehashed for "Rainbow Falls". Has anyone seen this argument?

Yeah, I would get rid of that. Sonic Rainboom doesn't factor into anything.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectRainbow Dash has to pick between her team and her heroes who would probably win, but she picks Ponyville because she's Loyalty and that sticks.
Although, if she hadn't seen Soarin in her hospital room, I got the feeling that she probably would have just stayed there and picked no one, and the only lesson she would have learned would be "if a choice is too hard, just don't make it".
...that makes me think. Remember the very first episode when Celestia sent Twilight to prep the Summer Sun Celebration and make friends?
If Nightmare Moon hadn't attacked, she probably would have never made those friends and went right back to Canterlot without any.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayMidnight? Time for ponies!
- Gasp! Snowfla-wait, what? "Bulge Biceps?" Hmm.
- Wait, was it "Bulk Biceps?" "Bolt Biceps?" Note to self, check the credits...
- It seems odd that with all the other pegasi in town from Hurricane Fluttershy, Flutters and Snowfl-, uh, Biceps, would be the only turnouts.
- P is for pain! Without which, there is no gain!
- Seriously though, she couldn't find anypony with better flight capabilities in all of Ponyville?
- Aaaaah, so that's it. ...seems like kind of a stupid rule.
- Ooh, griffon team! With totally new color schemes, no less! Wait, was that Bon Bon flying past the screen just now?
- Jeez, Berry Punch, how drunk do you have to be for other ponies to see your hallucinated wings?
- Hello, Not Doctor Whooves.
- Huh. Not how I imagined Fleetfoot's voice.
- Okay, pretty sure it's "Bulk" now.
- And the Soarindash shippers rejoiced.
- Why does Fleetfoot know where Rainbow grew up? Have all the Wonderbolts read her academy application, or is Big Mac not the only Ponyvillian on her stalking list?
- How can you say no to that pec dance, Rainbow?
- Rainbow's swag glasses return.
- So much for not liking other ponies touching her hooves.
- Sno-Bul-screw it, I'm sticking with Snowflake, is truly the manliest pony in Equestria to be wearing that outfit.
- Pinki won't have anypony to cheer for... except Fluttershy... and Snowflake... and all the other Ponyville ponies competing in other events...
- Honestly, Twilight, I think it's for the best that those uniforms aren't ever seen. Seriously, was Rarity coming down from a feverdream when she designed those?
- Gee, Rainbow, maybe you should ask your teammates what they think about it.
- ...or do that, sure. /facehoof
- That's one impressive wig...
- Derpy! :D
- Rarity, your uniforms weren't in style ever.
- Oh jeez, I was not prepared for Twilight's wig.
Well, that was alright. Not as good as Pinkie Apple Pie, but alright.
Recently decided to look into what all the hubbub was about concerning this, and was pleasantly surprised. Not a bad show, nor a bad fandom (more or less). I'm mainly attracted to it from a creator standpoint, being something of an aspiring Director/Actor/Writer myself, I just respect the show's capabilities as a whole. Watching it with the target audience in mind just makes me realize what a good job it does at teaching valuable life lessons in an entertaining manner without being overt or blatant or stereotypical about it, and it also manages to have engaging stories and characters. It's just all the depth of a regular adult show thrown into this children's program, and it somehow manages to work. I just really admire that in something of this...genre, I guess. Lovely music, lovely voice acting, lovely writing, lovely animation...it's just a well rounded piece of television.
Anywho, thought I'd pop in and share my general opinion.....yeah I have little more to contribute.
