A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I still don't get what the general issue is with Daring Do being real. It's not like the series has never had other crazy stuff in it before, or things that generally don't make sense {Like Twilight getting a brother out of nowhere who was never indicated to exist, or dragons somehow hitting puberty from getting greedy}.
Sort of like how, in the Thursday Next series, there's the real Thursday Next, and there's the wildly flanderized fictional Thursday from the in-universe books, and there's another wildly-flanderized-in-the-opposite-direction Thursday from the real Thursday's authorized biography.

Yeah.. that... what? No Story, that isn't The worm was bringing the character Daring Do from the book to life, the fact there is a real one doesn't matter. it's the same reason Jesus could both be a real person living in South Park, and one of the leaders of Imagination Land.
Also, so far there is nothing n the comics that doesn't fit into continuity with the show. Well, alright a few of the Micros are a bit iffy, but the main series, only that... one.. issue, but that could be glossed over as Unreliable Narrator. Given it's a pretty much flat out stated he's altering some things.
It was pretty much inevitable.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayNo, just a nice little present from Spitfire, and yeah, at this point, RD is SO on the team as soon as there is an opening, or whatever rad tape is still between her and getting in. Maybe age or something. Or an official waiting list they can't bump her up higher on. Or just needing to wait till one of them retires.

If it had been something official she would have gotten it back at the Academy.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Sereg: Yes, but your fictionalized version isn't running around in reality. At that point they aren't really fictional anymore.
Also, if people think that's complicated, they should read Problem Sleuth. By the end of the story there are three Ace Dicks running around, and Pickle Inspector literally makes up the entire universe.
Reaction Image RepositoryHey guys! How's it going?
First off, congratulations to Thunderlane are in order. (sorry I'm a bit late).
Second...that was a good episode. Nice tension, decent melodrama and comedy bits... It was nice to see a certain somepony back. I'm surprised they made Snowflake/Bulk Biceps so prominent though. And I'm surprised they made Spitfire and whatsername lie to Soarin about what was going on. :/
Third, a pair of issues I had with the episode. Rainbow Dash said in one episode that she doesn't like it when ponies touch her hooves. Yet in this episode they took a freaking power buffer to her hooves and she didn't even flinch. What the heck?
And the other thing I have an issue with- "Choosing not to choose isn't really a decision." Bullshit, yes it is. It arguably isn't a good decision, but it's a decision nonetheless. One that my parents drilled into my head when it was time for me to go to college.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/so i hear two new ponies shows up today.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.yeah, looks like i "missed" it too.
G1, eh? that would make her the oldest pony to show up, right?

Just one more reason that Daring Do being real doesn't make much sense.
