A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

If I found out anyone had a crush on me, my first reaction would be "Why?"

I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!

@Sereg Well, any conflict involving a compass is pretty fascinating, unless its Skyrim in which compass and mountains team up to make the player furious. XD

@Kuroi Well, Daring Do is real now, so RD can bang that directly :D

Last time I heard about South Korea elderly is that they were allowed to just casually push whoever they want and acted very confused when foreigners reacted to that. Was I misinformed?

Well there's the whole mass suicide thing. South Korea has one of the highest rates of elderly suicide in the world.

Rayman never really hit my radars until the stupid rabbits dropkicked it into mainstream. Was it good before that?

My reaction to someone crushing on me would be bewilderment as well. Then I'd want to try and develop that.

Because it helps the characters to grow and adapt to each other?

I think this is it. Most people ship because they want to watch. I only do that for crack (which is admittely loads of fun). My normal ships are because I want the characters to be happy and how happy I am about it is irrelevant. It's their lives, not mine.

I'll admit that it's kind of cool that I can say "I was stabbed with a compass!" But it was a geometry compass. Not a geographical compass. So it was sharp.

I don't know if it was a crush, but in highschool, a girl once gave me a lollipop in person on Valentine's Day. I felt kind of bad not accepting it, but she's married now anyway, so evidently it worked out.

@Sereg I don't ship at all, honestly, I find the whole thing pretty pointless(irony?), and in-universe tease annoying because it never leads to anything.

Heh, stabbed with a compass, that is still cool to say. The most danger I had in my relationships is hooking up with someone who likes Twilight movies. Yes, that's a danger.

Also as far as being injured by weird things, someone once attacked me with an ordinary key. It left a pretty scary looking scratch across my neck.

I don't know about Rayman 1 and 3, but Rayman 2 was a hit, and it has a way of showing up on Best Games Of All Time lists. The Rabbids didn't show up until Rayman Raving Rabbids, which IIRC came out after Rayman 3.

I have scars from working Christmas Eve at the mall. I slammed my knee on a key that was sticking out of a cabinet door. It was fun. I've only done it once, but I know I never want to work Christmas Eve again.

And on the topic of romances, I had a couple guys in high school crush on me once, but I turned them both down because I couldn't bring myself to like them more than a friend. And then everyone thought I was a lesbian. [lol]

oooh, are we talking about injuries now?

let's see, i broke my arm when i was five, i sprained my ankle in high school, i had to get treated for burns because of a cooking incident, and i once stabbed myself in the hand with a comb.

[up][up]I agree. I admittedly haven't played 1 or 3, or even 2 all the way through, but Origins and Legends were both really entertaining.

Hi Gwen! Yeah, no one in their right mind wants to work on Christmas Eve. Sadly it's not always a choice.
