A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Post of the Day #617

A lot of the characters we've only seen in one episode aren't ones I expect to come back. Despite the fans getting excited over them, I think it'd be best to see new characters rather than see the others shoehorned back in where it wouldn't make much sense.

That site seems a bit glitchy.

I've only seen like a couple episodes. Seems... meh, really.

I only watched the first episode because of the pony reference.

how am I supposed to do that in text? Just saying it has a deep voice sound kinda dumb.

Or you could do Small Caps for the Deathly tone.

@Mermaid Trixie: Oh jeez... makin' it a little tough for me to not gush for that magician. (Yes, I like Trixie a good deal... I think I established that point already.)

@Teen Titans Go: Didn't really watch much... and to be honest, I kinda... can't get into it.

-looks about, before donning a mask of Trixie Lulamoon-

@Marcen: Not a lot from my perspective.

(Yeah... not much for me to input on at this momentum.)

@Marcen As for me I'm thinking of watching Despicable Me 2 that I got for Christmas later on tonight seeing as I do have the disc inside of my Macbook Pro so yeah.

Is a Macbook good? I'm looking for something new in a matter of months.

@Big Dan It's fine and it's more efficient than my old laptop which lagged a lot.

Yeah, Macs are good for certain things, but they're expensive. Personally I don't really do enough artistic stuff to merit paying so much for it. A $600 laptop can do everything I need it to.

So, they're good for drawing eh?

Well, not really, no - they're advertised as being marketed for artistic people, but what that means in reality is that they have more basic artistic programs - music creating software, etc. A windows computer can do anything a mac can do if you can find a program for it(Free/cheap ones tend to be harder to come by...), and a lot of things you can do better on a PC, in fact.

But yeah. Macs are good for music, from what I hear. Drawing... eh. You can go either way. I've never dealt with a Mac that wasn't a persnickety asshole, so I prefer P Cs myself.

Ech, I'll get a Mac Book when it's less expensive and less people own one.

I actually thought about getting my dad a MacBook charger for Christmas, since his old one broke. I decided against it when I found out it would cost $80 and would likely only last six months.
