A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I actually missed part of the beginning. I think I was so excited for the episode that I couldn't sleep. Finally, I decided to sleep so I wasn't so groggy in them morning but by the time I woke up "10:33!? FUUUUUUU—" Luckily, I saw the majority of the episode and yeah, definitely the best one this season so far.
I'm honestly impressed with Rarity's improvisation. Anything in her field of view can instantly become a fashion line.

Rarity's special talent does seem to be fabulosity, so it makes sense she can find inspiration so easily.

Well, she was originally going to be the element of Inspiration...

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Shoot, I forgot to set an alarm, and missed pony.
So what's the general opinion on this one?
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.@kegisak: practically everyone here loved it, myself included.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Cool. Look forward to seeing it whenever it's up in HD, then.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. One thing I found odd is that Suri was pretty much an on-screen Karma Houdini, and I actually wasn't that upset. Usually, I'm at odds with it when it happens, but this time I wasn't. Maybe it's because she didn't have as much focus. Or maybe her Kick the Dog moment wasn't not on the level of others.
Well, she lost the competition, and the one who was apparently doing a lot of her actual work quit.

I have a message from another time...Okay I'm currently watching "Rarity Takes Manehattan",but first I'll put remarks so far on this season
Daring Don't may have been predictable, but it's the best in the season yet.
Bats! Is the worst. It had potential and I liked Flutterbat and the duet. But the rest of it was kinda plotless,Twilight suffered Aesop Amnesia. My first reaction was "what the heck did I just watch"?
Enjoying the Gillgan Cut and Lampshade Hanging on how random the songs are in this show. Not enjoying the dissonance between Singing Rarity and regular Rarity though

I really loved this episode. The song was awesome, Rarity finally got a new episode and was also finally portrayed correctly, and I loved the conflict in this episode. It might just be Dave Polsky's best episode yet. Actually, scratch the "Might" part, because this pretty much IS my favorite episode that he's done.

Alright I'm gonna rewatch the episode now cuz I've found it on You Tube so I'll tell ya what I thought of it when I'm done with it so catch ya later for the time being.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeHere's a pretty good quality vid of the recent episode, for anyone who missed it or had to deal with steam being all buggy.
And once again Polsky writes a knock-out,although I don't think it quite tops "Too Many Pinkie Pies".
And definitely my new favorite for the season.
Great lines,great hamminess.
This even better than the last fashion episode back in Season 1. (In between "Fall Weather Friends" and Polsky's debut episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen",can't remember the name)
ok, episode is up on youtube, now to watch.
- bridleway? really?
- "I could. I do!"
- why is RD excited about a musical?
- oh, thanks for reading my mind, AJ.
- and now a song.
- was that a carrot hotdog?
- rarity knows a mending spell?
- Twilight, can't you teleport some dresses across town?
- This is why copyrights/trademarks are a thing, rarity.
- well that was a quick turn around.
- ...nope, rarity is still in breakdown mode.
- prediction: the costume dude who got rarity the tickets for the play is going to help save the day.
- the price of stardom
- alright, wet mane rarity and a reprise
- "we missed the show because we overslept" join the club :/
- omg did dash really just say 'aight'?
- aaanndd the beleaguered assistant pulls a heel face turn
- wait, so rarity got an exclusive showing by agreeing to do the guys next costumes, then pawns the job off on the assistant?
- she got rainbow thread?
ok, that was alright. I'm just not really a fan of shows where the conflict comes from others being douchebags.

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Okay now that I've seen the episode without any lag or adverts in between I can safely say that this episode was great. Not my favourite Rarity episode but it's certainly up there with Sweet and Elite and Sisterhooves Special without a doubt. Very heartwarming episode, and so much Rarity hamminess that it's good.

"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeI watched it and liked it pretty much. It definitely made me go "Awww" at several parts, and I'm also glad that Rarity showed the benefits of being kind and generous to the bellhop this time. (Yay no more bellhop abuse like in Suite and Elite!) I like that rainbow thread at the end there, but that's just because I like rainbow-colored stuff so if I was a pony who wanted to wear clothes I would want Rarity to make me something using that thread. The "Hotel Chic" was creative and shows her talents at using what she has, even if it's just room decorations. My headcanon is that the extra gem she gave the bellhop (the one he was confused about because he didn't do anything for it) was at least to partially pay for what she used to make her fashions, and she may have also given the hotel some other payment off-screen.
Alrighty! Pantry is stocked and episode is up in HD.
Leeeeeeeroooooooooooooooooooooooy!

So for closeups, we have
So I think that those (with the exception of the comic) are Chekhovs Guns placed at the end of eah episode and that they are are connected to the box.
