A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Rainbow. Oops, yeah sometimes I get the pony names confused, there are hundreds if not over a thousand ponies by now. And yes that's what I was going for, thought combining the two Twilights was an amusing coincidence. Which incidentally Flight to Cloud Castle is one of my favorite episodes as it's a rare serial giving focus to a small group of characters and is a relatively low key adventure.

If AJ is Loyalty, then that leaves us without Honesty. People cite Rainbow Dash as a possibility because of her tendency towards speaking her mind without concern for offending people, but her big deal in season one was that she puts up a front of bravado to hide her insecurities. Arguably, she never actually learned to be honest about insecurity—she just got some legit accomplishments under her belt and based her confidence on those.
Twilight: I'm Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?
Fluttershy: I'm Bat...um, I mean...I'm Fluttershy.
I'm calling it Lion's Share.
I was actually thinking of ponies slicing uppies when I made it.
It's similar to draw poker.
But has it's own deck
Instead of suits, it has fractions
Two half cards, three third cards, etc
Anyway, a stronger hand is one that contains a larger total amount of pie which is made of equally sized slices. When two hands are tied in that respect, and one has more than one set of fractions making up the same amount of pie, the one with the larger number of fraction types making large amounts of pie wins. If they are still tied, the smller fraction ie. larger number of slices wins.
However, like in poker, people bid to stay in the game and see each other's hands. And like draw poker, you can discard and replace cards before bidding starts.

Hah! Five-card draw was the variation I was raised on! Well, I played stud on our old computer and I later learned Texas Hold 'Em, but draw was what my familyt used to play together. Basically, after you've been dealt your hand, you can discard as many cards as you like and replace them from the deck. Adds a bit more strategy in getting a good hand.
Because my sister and I were young, we'd ask our mom for advice (who couldn't play anyway as hshe was blind). I emember one time my dad was so anxious from what he drew, he went and asked my mom for advice himself! He was one card off from a Royal Flush but knew he had better odds i he kept the pair and tried for something smaller. My mom told him he would kick himself leater if he didn't go for it, so he did and got it. ... I thought he was blufing and lost a lot from that hand.

@Dark: No, you're thinking of Sparkler, a G1 pony.

Sparkleworks is a G3 pony who looks like G4 Scootaloo with blue eyes.

And yes, there were two ponies named Twilight in the G1 series, and they both have animated incarnations. The unicorn Twilight appears in the Midnight Castle story that was the pilot and the pegasus Twilight is in a story called Flight to Cloud Castle along with Heart Throb and Locket.

I suppose if you combine them, one could come up with Alicorn Twilight Sparkle who has the purple body of pegasus Twilight and the mane style and star-shaped cutie-mark of unicorn Twilight.
On an earlier topic, I wouldn't mind if the Rainbow Power thing got used in the show, because I love rainbows and think it would be fun if all the ponies got rainbow-ified. (although one could tell that by my username as well) Or maybe like the Crystal Empire thing, there is another race of ponies where all the ponies have rainbows on their bodies/more multi-colored manes, and it turns out that Rainbow Dash is related to them!
In personal pony-related news, I got another pony Christmas present from one of my aunts when I visited my dad's side of the family on Sunday. I got the brushable set that includes Silver Spoon and Twist, which I had asked for, so I'm very glad about that. Even though I already had the CMC, it at least has Apple Bloom with her bow, so now I have a doll of her that is more show-accurate.
