A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Did it specify which Springfield? 'Cause if not, I have no choice but to imagine you're from The Simpsons.
The joke is that there are several real ones. Pretty sure that at least half the states have a Springfield.
I see. I'm guessing Maine, then, which would make you Stephen King.
The dialect map actually guessed correctly that I'm in MA. The deciding factor seems to be that I call a traffic circle a rotary.
And yeah, my grandma and my aunt called them lightning bugs.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!I've heard them referred to has lightning bugs before, but fireflies seems to be the dominant term everywhere. No idea why they're convinced it's specific to a few towns in California.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI've seen pictures of them and read about them. I've never seen one in real life though.
The thing that really confused me was the Liquor Drive Through. That's a thing? There's slang words for it?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThere was a question about liquor drive-thrus? That one never came up for me.
@Irish Zombies: -shivers- i just got horrible flashbacks.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I never got the liquor drive through question either. Just as well, since my answer would have been "What".
Wow, that was fast. You never broke stride posting here, either.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out! It's weird that they didn't ask me that, since there actually are liquor drive-thru's around here. There's one just a couple blocks down from here, called the Eskimo Hut. We don't have a special term for them, though.

I took it and it put me in Springfield. I'm not even American so I have no idea of the implications.
