A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

I haven't been to the movies for a good couple months. Though I do plan on seeing the upcoming Godzilla movie, the 21 Jump Street sequel, Anchorman 2 and the Conan The Barbarian sequel that's suppose to come out in 2014 {And it's a sequel to the original 1982 film, not the crappy 2011 reboot}. I just don't usually go to movie theaters much because their aren't a whole lot of films that interest me that much these days.

I like going to the movies because of the giant screen, popcorn, and seeing the movie early so I wouldn't have to swear off internet until bluray comes out to avoid spoilers.

And it helps when my cute girlfriend is with me.

I normally only go to the theaters when someone else I know is going.

[up] Same here, movies are more fun with friends, imo.

The reboot wasn't too bad, it's closer to the original short stories than pretty much everything else, aside from the Darkhorse comics.

I basically only go when I've got friends going, I feel really weird going to the movies alone. Sometimes with the bigger movies though you get multiple groups of friends going to the same movie, so I end up seeing it twice. Which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't like twelve bucks a showing.

I never even saw the original Conan movie till way later. I always used to think the Golden Axe series were Conan games because of one particular playable character being a blatant expy.

Other than Disney, I'm not much interested in the film medium these days. Same with tv, most good shows have a high chance of getting cut short, leaving storylines unresolved. Not to mention being forced by executives to conform to what the public likes to keep shows going.

[up] I didn't like that one as much. Apart from confirming Spidey and MJ marriage happened(again?) somewhere after the animated series, I didn't like much from there. That derpy heroic Green Goblin just sealed the coffin for me. I was bummed it didn't have a conclusion, but not as much as Spec Spidey.

@Lumious God I miss Spectacular Spider Man I'd rather see more episodes of that than more episode of Ultimate Spider Man.

I usually wait to hear what other people have to say about a movie before I decide to go watch it.

[up][up] You really shouldn't have mentioned Ultimate Spider-Man... I'm using all the will I have in order not to go to a hate-filled rant.

@Lumious Ya not the only one who hates it, luckily for me there are other shows to catch my interest on the internet.

Don't forget Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It got the boot to make way for Avengers Assemble, made by the same people as Ultimate Spider-man, so much so they're actually in the same continuity.

I didn't even give a chance to that thing like I did to Ultimate Spider-Man. I just avoid it so I wouldn't feel as betrayed.

I still haven't seen Earth's Mightiest Heroes yet. I've heard great things about it but I still haven't seen it.

Yeah, I first mentioned it before you were here.

About a month ago, mom got a biopsy done and they found a lump in her breast. She got another biopsy later to check if it was dangerous, and they found a second lump. As far as we know there isn't any cancer, but the doctor wanted to take them out just to be safe.
