Ah, my childhood! It makes me think, what's Power Rangers gonna do when they adapt the new Super Sentai, Tokkyuger.

@Marcen Geez Marcen, I come home from college after having a boring session all because the teacher was ill and everyone was mad because they had to fill in work experience forms and now I come home to you being mad. Good lord man, calm yourself.

Is that supposed to be impressive or something? Because most people don't have sex in less than 40 days anyway, unless you a partner.

Well it also includes masturbation, but it's still pretty stupid.

@Dark: Well, he also refrains from masturbating, which, I guess is more impressive?

But yeah, reading the Suck entry... it's a rare day I agree with a Suck entry, let's just leave it there.

@Marcen's video viewed's premise: -quadruple facehoof- That must be the worst possible premise! As far as comedy goes, that's... that's anti-comedy!

Anywho... seeing someone mention their dream, I kinda had a dream that had our lovable queen Chrysalis, actually conversing peacefully with Fluttershy. The purpose of the queen's visit? Diplomatic Relations and intending to improve with Equestria's relations. (Yes, my brain's a bit weird like that... then again, headcanon has me believe the Queen herself not necessarily evil for evil's sake {unlike Sombra if I recall correctly}.)

That would actually be quite interesting. Although the whole "kidnapping the CMC" bit would be a bit tough to get over.

@dark: Well according to modern notions of male sexulaity, a man can not go a single day without "getting some" and so intentionally going 40 days without any is a herculean feat.

The fact that during this period many women (whom according to modern notions of female sexuality only require sex when they desire a child or went they enter menopause) wish to have sex with him makes it a "hilarious" piece of role reversal.

Or at least I'm sure that's what the marketing department thinks.

@Star Sorry...it's just that a movie I watched REALLY pissed me of...it's called 40 Days and 40 Nights. And you know...yesterday, I watched Pain and Gain....a Michael Bay film...which I LIKED BECAUSE the main characters were unlikable and you could relate to the antagonists. All day after watching that movie, I felt so relaxed and in a good mood. After seeing 40...I think I'm going to be a bit bitter for the next several days.

@Marcen No don't be, you'll be fine. And besides I have never seen you go ape shit about something, it's the first time I've ever seen ya do that.

Yeah, I'm sick of those gender stereotypes. Pretty much why I can only stand the really high quality sit coms these days.

Never been a Power Rangers fan. Even when I was a kid I thought the show was stupid, and it sounds like something you have to grow up with to love it.

[up] Well, it's highly visual, so yeah. Power Rangers's thing(besides giant robots and monsters) was highly advanced martial arts fight choreography, unseen in any other show.

@ Star Sorry...that never happened. It only happens when a movie REALLY destroys me. Who knew that I would rather pick a Michael Bay film over...that.

And thank you for the Sweetie!

@Dark: At least when Seinfeld played the "men are sex addicts" thing they did it in a self-deprecating fashion. And also it was actually funny.

Power Rangers may be cheesy, but the first season is a classic (in my book at least) and was a big part of my childhood. My brother and I even dressed up as the green and red rangers for halloween one year.

Power Rangers, the cheesiest show on the planet and yet the very inspiration for Pacific Rim. I kinda consider Power Rangers as a guilty pleasure, I used to collect the action figures for that show I even had a figurine of the Green Ranger and one of the Megazords at one point.

RPM has an actually good story, hence my recommendation to those who don't really like overly cheesy stuff.

My shows growing up were the classic Nicktoons and Disney afternoon cartoons. I was a bit too old to catch the original block, but I remember staying up late to midnight to catch reruns on Toon Disney. Gargoyles, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Timon and Pumbaa, and the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

And it lampshades and pokes fun at some of the cheesier things, like the henshin explaison whenever they morph or do something awesome, how odd the zords look, and the span... IT'S NOT SPANDEX!

Gargoyles, Duck Tales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Timon and Pumbaa, and the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

I think I may have seen an episode of Darkwing Duck and Sonic at some point. The rest I've never seen.
