A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules

I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!
"Bats" will be the shows second Musical Episode. And it will be a pariody of the Batman and Music Meister episode
I don't think it's considered part of the Disney Animated Canon
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMorning, everyone. How's it going?
I'm very excited to hear this is gonna be a 26 episode season.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/I'll be disappointed if Rarity doesn't sing in "Marshmallow in Manehattan".
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!Pretty quiet here. I've been reading a bit about cryptography.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOh speaking of Disney Canon, I just came across this. It's amazing how much more complex the later 2d films from the earlier ones. They have a lot more lighting effects, moving particles, etc. I guess that's the wonders of technology. But I never noticed until I saw the early and later films put side by side.
It's not, but even counting every film Disney's been involved with in some form, it's still up there. The only Disney film that kills more people onscreen is Pirates Of The Caribbean.
Really? Disney's been involved in an awful lot of movies. I find that hard to beleive.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayLooks like Disney distributed Iron Man 3. I think that qualifies as darker than The Incredibles.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayEven if there is a vague similarity in the plot, the tones are completely different. Among other things, Iron Man 3 is PG-13 while The Incredibles is PG.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayIron Man 3 is way more realistic in how it portrays the events. The Incredibles didn't have terrorists, suicide bombers, or assassination attempts. It had deaths, yeah, but they were all offscreen and in general the feel was much more cartoony.
Reaction Image RepositoryWell, it's a family film after all. You can only go so far.
Today I'm rewatching Treasure Planet. Which could have been renamed Rule of Cool: the Movie and no one would have noticed.
In terms of space opera, it's really the purest example of the genre I can think of in recent years.

Toy mechanics DO work
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!
