A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I think any more serious an in-depth exploration of a possible disability than what we got here would probably be getting a bit heavy for the target demographic.

I think I'd actually rather see the series end without them getting their marks, then give us a spin off series with the CMC in pony!high school or college and already having their marks. Then we could get flashbacks to how they got them, but their characters would have evolved past the obsession with getting them.

@Powah Yeah, I truly believe they wlll finally get them around the end. It oughta be a Wham Episode to boot.

[up] But you can't deny it'd be a Wham Episode if it does happen.

As much as I hate to admit it, Windows 7 does have a few features that Linux operating systems don't. For example, a stable connection to the wifi network, and the ability to check my laptop's battery level. It's been a few months now and I can't get that to work on any of my Linux setups.

The thing I really miss about Windows 7 on Linux is that Linux GU Is just suck in general. I think it's probably because at Microsoft, people are paid to try to make it usable for the average person, whereas Linux development is dominated by people who use Emacs or Vim and the command line almost exclusively.

When will you guys learn that DT and SS are just Attention Whore(s) who need love and friendship too?

All the talk of bullies reminds me of Emma and Sopia from Worm. Sometimes bullies are just jerks. Though in Emma's case, it was more of trying to make herself feel superior in order to get over a traumatic event. Sorry for constantly mentioning it, but since I read it recently, it does come to mind a lot

Not sure what the GUI is. I have to say that I find Linux pretty easy to use though.

They're bullies from an 80's kid's movie.

This makes them so much more entertaining.

I don't have any experience with Luna, but none of the ones I've tried (Gnome 3, XFCE, Unity) measure up to Windows.

No, we're onto some random stuff about programming.

And, I really REALLY hate DT and SS.

It's a pretty easy transition from Windows 7, in my opinion at least. I'm most familiar with the Cinnamon edition.

In all honesty, Elementary OS is a closer match to Mac OSX than Windows. I like it, though.

Elementary OS Luna is the best.

I tried out the Lunascape browser on Windows today. It is NOT the best.

That wasn't programming. That was an OS/Desktop Environment discussion.

It's a pretty easy transition from Windows 7, in my opinion at least. I'm most familiar with the Cinnamon edition.

From what I've read, Cinnamon is a fork of Gnome 3, but hopefully they've managed to fix it. Because Gnome 3 by itself is horrifyingly bad even after tweaking it.

tonight on the Pony Thread: operating systems.

If you don't want to talk about O Ses, I could propose a different topic. I actually just got done chatting with my sister about the philosophy of social interactions. It was interesting seeing how different our approaches were. It makes me wonder if it's an introvert/extrovert thing or if I'm just weird or bad at social stuff.

Hola all. I ended up working an extra four hours than expected, so I didn't get home until about an hour ago.

Good episode today. Good song too. I'll be sure to absentmindedly start singing it at work and weird out my manager again. [lol] I think the team has picked up some good new writers this season.

Arg, I'm so tired but I wanna talk pone. I've missed talking with you guys lately.
