A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Oh yeah, that was great.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI loved Rainbow WANTING to squee but had to control herself. I can TOTALLY relate.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qThat reminds me. I wonder what Starswirl the 147th would call RD. Rainbow Professional Danger Dash, Bearer Of The Element of Loyalty?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayStar Swirl doesn't do shortened.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI've become a little more willing to shorten names over time, Storyyeller. Especially after my time in Zebrica.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of contradictory sources on Bearer Rainbow Dash's middle name. It makes it difficult to decide how best to address her. Though, my current system seems to mostly be working.
Fascinating. I must investigate!@Starscream: she isn't Starswirl the Bearded, but his most recent descendant.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Well, Starscream 759, a descendant is the opposite of an ancestor. Someone's children and their children and their children and their children and so forth. For a hundred and forty five generations in my case (Star Swirl the Bearded was the son of Star Swirl the First).
EDIT: Sorry, Morning Star 1337, but nieces and nephews don't count. They have to be in the direct line of parent-to-child.
EDIT: Also, I'm a mare. I hope that mistaking me for revered ancestor doesn't indicate anything about my attractiveness. Though it does illustrate what I've been saying about the importance of being specific.

Fascinating. I must investigate!I'm glad they've finally acknowledged Scootaloo's disability after having her lack of flying skills go uncommented upon until this point. Hopefully this will be explored a bit down the road or at least get one more mention. One other thing they can do is give Scoots an embarrassing contraption she can wear that will allow her two fly, kind of an analogy for anyone who's ever had to wears braces, or a brace of any kind.

Anyway, princess Celestia and Princess Luna have been telling my and the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony *squee* about the latest threat, which involves Star Swirl the Twenty Fifth and Star Swirl the Fifty First.
Fascinating. I must investigate! In case you didn't realize, Star Swirl the 147th is the main character of Sereg's fanfic
, An Earth Pony's Guide to Magic. I think there are some sequels by now but I haven't read them.
Technically not confirmed, but it is confirmed that her inability to fly currently is unusual. They leave the door open for her learning to fly later though.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play

Just finished the episode, and that was pretty great. I'm glad they stuck with Scoots not being able to fly, and got a nice sisterly role model bit with Rainbow at the end. Rainbow's face when they announced they were going to get flag carrying cutie marks was great, and so was Silver Spoon's "We already called them blank flanks! That's all we know how to do!"
My favorite part may be Beefcake running away from the butterfly, though, because now we have that in common. XD
