A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Mmmmmnot so much.
It's a decent series, but it definitely shows its age... and budget... and that it was translated. After you see enough of them, as we wee canadian children did, you start being able to pick out shows translated from french from how the dialogue is forced to fit into the spaces where a much more efficient language went...
And the whole series is on youtube, so there's that!
That Yipee 3 minutes in was so deadpan. I wonder if it was intentional.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlaySo what's up? I still can't get Naclports to build. So frustrating.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI finally got around to watching the next episode. It's an odd one, honestly. If you just take it as what it is, a kids show, then it was lots of fun. Good gags, lots of action, more cute Dash than you could possible need in an episode and a not too subtle friendly dig at the fandom. However, there are a few strange problems if you dwell on the episode, like why does Daring Do novelize her works if she wants to remain secretive?
But regardless, as per usual I liked the episode. Even if it did burn more or less all of the Daring Do fanon.
(Also, can anyone read this face Dash made?
◊ It's like half way between 'This intrigues me' and 'This arouses me'. I genuinely have no idea what the animators were going for...)

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.![]()
Well on the secrecy thing, it's actually better to write a book. It's harder to believe something exactly from an adventure book happened, instead of something no one has ever heard of before.
Arbitrary Skepticism is in play here.

Yes, and that's been a favorite of mine since I was four.
