A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Ok, I know i'm late, but I saw the ep. This has probably been said before, but I think Daring Do would be great in her own spin-off series, like a Kim Possible kinda deal.
Azu-whatever will return and team up with a resurected King sombra along with an evil pony mafia from Cabriero to defeat the royal sisters and rule Equestria, and only they know where to find the six keys.
Thx.

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThere was one thing that disappointed me, and it's that Daring Do didn't use her hat the way she did at the end of Read It and Weep where she launched it to make all the traps stop working. I thought they were setting up for her hat to be an important tool for her in some way with Rainbow Dash bringing it back to her, but then nothing happened. But that's a pretty minor thing in what was for me a very funny and enjoyable episode.
Would that count as a subversion of both the Call-Back and Chekhov's Gun tropes? Because I really thought they were setting up her hat to be important and then they subverted that expectation by having it just be a hat.

Well he certainly isn't in the same class as Diamond Tiara and the Flim Flam Brothers and he's more dangerous than the Diamond Dogs (do they belong in Dangerous Creatures since they're sentient? The comics imply they may have had their own society at one point)
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Well the XXX years of bad wasn't for the whole world, they said it only applied to that one valley, so he's still pretty low.
Also, he's not one of the Mane 6's major villains. He's the Villain of Another Story

By the way, whoever mentioned expecting elvish runes to appear on the ring when it fell in the fireplace, I also thought of The Lord Of The Rings when I saw that part.
It also took awhile before I realized that the threat was "800 years of heat" rather than "800 years of hate," probably because of Ahuizotl's accent. Like it was going to make Ahuizotl's hatred and rage turn into a magical force that would have a physical effect on the land and/or ponies living in the area.
@Borne Again: I've never actually seen any Indiana Jones movies so I didn't know that keeping the hat safe was a reference to that. That would explain it, though.
