A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

The new episode was just So, Awesome!
I mean holy crap, Daring Do and her enemies are real, and we got to see her and RD interact? *Squee*
@Filler discussion: Honestly, if there is one thing in FIM that I can call Filler, it would be Equestria Girls. Especially considering that it's not going to be refrenced at all in S4, and because like most Filler it sucked too IMO {Even if there was some redeeming value to it} and had absolutely no reason to exist.

As much as I love the mane cast together in episodes, I'm wondering if I would have enjoyed this more if it were just Twilight and RD. Not that the others don't have some enjoyable bits, but their presence seems a bit unnecessary to the broader story (minus the keep away bit at the end) and perhaps a bit more time could have gone into developing Daring Do more.
Ah well, still a fun episode.
I've seen arguments for previous episodes, but this one for sure wouldn't have happened without the fandom and Daring Do's popularity. Also the two-parter's strong continuity would have had a lot less likely chance of being made with only the original demographic.
On that thought, someone needs to make a survey about the younger fans, we get more attention than they do and it would be interesting to learn what episodes and characters appeal to them.
Seriously, guys, do we give Daring Do and Ahuizotl their own section, or move them to another page?

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Surprise may be a valid reason for Twilight and Rainbow (who are clearly busy), but "they were surprised she wasn't fictional" doesn't strike me as a valid reason for the other four. They clearly aren't as familiar with the books as Rainbow and Twilight, and they've encountered weirder things (like an insectile succubus and a chaos god).
Sidebar; what does a Razor of Dreams do?
@darkabomination: one time I was briefly discussing MLP with one of the preschoolers I was teaching, and she said her favorite pony was Rainbow Dash (because she likes rainbows) and Fluttershy (because she likes animals). I told her my favorite pony was Rarity and she had no idea who I was talking about until I said "the purple and white one who makes clothes". The only reason it came up was because she was playing pretend with another girl, and was using "Flower Dash" as a pretend name.
There you go, informal survey

"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."Although someone has already given a synopsis for "Ring of Destiny" on the Daring Do page, I've actually been playing around with this idea (I sadly have not read everything on the page):
The setup is basically that Daring Do has cut off all ties from her friends for reasons I'm still trying to figure out.
I too vote for moving the characters. The Other Characters page is kinda an odd page for characters that don't fit anywhere else.
We're also in a weird position with antagonists who make a Heel–Face Turn. Discord is still in the Major Villains section cause he was still responsible for the stuff that happened in "Princess Twilight", if Trixie comes back though will we move her to Supporting Characters? Or do we need to change the pages again?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Okay I've finally found the full episode on You Tube, Rainbow Dash gushing is adorable, nuff said.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime

Now Ahuizotl, you know I love you, but I can't give you the ring until I've properly proposed!
Favorite line in the episode.
