A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Also, isn't it weird that Ahuizotl wants eternal (OK, 800 year-long) DAY? He's reverse Nightmare Moon.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!so does this make Daring Do a Hero of Another Story, both figuratively and literally?
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Perhaps he just meant he'd really dry up the atmosphere so it would feel hotter? Or maybe the heat would come from the sand or something.

don't you mean moisten? humid heat is way worse than dry heat.

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Yeah, but dry air has a lower... whasit. Heat variable thing. It gets hotter easier, basically.
Of course on the flip side it also gets much colder easier...

Just floating around...This seems like an episode that will likely annoy several people for varies reasons.
For my part, I enjoyed it well enough, even if I did feel like yelling "DO SOMETHING" at the screen at several points.
I wonder if this is going top be followed up on, or if this is the end of RD's Daring Do subplot.
I suppose given that we now have an 'overall' plot for the season it does technically constitute filler.
But at the same time, I doubt anyone seriously expected every episode to relate to that box?
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Well, in the mane 6's defense, they are seeing something happening that they've only seen in books. They are watching Daring Do, a till then as far as they knew fictional character, doing what she does in he stories. It might not have sunk in that this was real. it's like you are suddenly seeing a scene from your favorite movie playing out right in front of you. They were just so used to being spectators to this exact thing, it never dawned on them that, hey this is RE Al and I CAN help now.
Though was a little 'what!?" at dash's "I'm out of my league here."
You are one of the ponies that Defeated Nightmare moon, Discord, fought a small army of Changelings, how is THIS 'oput of your league."?
I just hate the whole concept of labeling things as "filler episodes" especially since it tends to be used as an insult, as something wrong about the ep, like "This was good, for a filler ep." "Or even thought it was filler, I liked it." What the hell does it being 'filler' have to do with ANYTHING? was it enjoyable to watch? Yes? Boom that's ALL hat matters. Anything else is a bonus, not a detriment if it doesn't have it.

I figured that, plus I thought it was realistic for Dash to be unsure of how to or if she should help Daring Do, but at the same time I think it went on a bit too long and they could have at least tried something.
As for the out of our league thing. . .yeah. It's really more of the continuing theme of no one (apparently not even themselves) cares about their accomplishments.
