A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Oh, no, he's a flea-bitten grey
◊: it's just part of his coat hair pattern, not a skin disease!
Yeah, actually they are. I've tried writing a story about the two that you can search my comments for several years back, put it on the back burner and then re-picked it up in earnest recently.
Note that aforementioned fic is quite the Mind Screw.

Make him a little bigger, give him a slightly bigger muzzle, and give him smaller eyes relative to the size of his head (or simply make his head a little larger).
Have another close look at how the show differentiates between adult and child ponies. It's not just size, but also proportions, in the entire body as well as the face.
Looking again at your OC, you could try shrinking the eyes slightly, and making his wings a little larger.
Now I think about it, a good comparison study would probably be that episode where the CMC are turned into adults.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesMy recollection of OAB is that it was implied that the buffalo and ponies were going to talk and make amends, but then AJ and RD egged on the belligerent factions of their respective sides.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThe settlers and bison were willing to talk, but AJ and RD were too stubborn to allow the side they supported to compromise. They came to peace talks anyway, but Pinkie infuriated both sides into open conflict twice.
That was another thing I dislike about the episode. The Mane Six did nothing but make things worse.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayIm a girl and I read this thread every so often.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532Yami, Librarian, Vengeful, Epic Bleye? Ginger's a dude, I'm pretty sure.
It's weird to look at Sereg's past RP Gs and see people who I see elsewhere but don't come on to this thread anymore. Imca, for instance.
Anyway, two things:
1. Speaking of ponies who don't really do anything in the episode, Gauntlet of Fire. Sparkles and Rarity are there and that's the most you can say as neither try to help Spike or Ember through the Gauntlet. Like, in the slightest. Not even against Garble.
2. So, I've been thinking of a crossover with this series and a children's card game. So, to that end, I'm curious as to what type of players the main cast would be. Who would be a Timmy, a Johnny, or a Spike?
I'm a guy, actually.
As for the MTG question:
Rainbow is definitely a Timmy, but she could also be an Innovator Spike. She'd have the Joey Wheeler issue of picking Awesome, but Impractical creatures with no spells to back them up and no mana to summon them with so she'd lose every game.
Twilight and Rarity would definitely be Johnnys, Twilight a Combo Player and Rarity a Deck Artist
Applejack would probably be a Spike too, likely a Nuts and Bolts player.
Fluttershy just wouldn't play xD
Not sure what Spike would do, though...

Fluttershy would build a deck based around flavor rather than power.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayFunny that a post by Turtlebutter would come up when we were discussing female tropers in this thread (at least I'm pretty sure she was female, I may be misremembering). Of course, given the number of posters who have posted here over the course of the thread's history, it's not surprising that there have been quite a few female posters as well.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play

Do you think my OC is too young looking for being 18 (or equivalent?)
I wanted to emphasise his youth, not only because of his inexperience but also because of the fact that he has an older brother
he looks up to highly, but I'm concerned he might look a bit too young, while his adult form (white like his brother, note standard adult stallion body type instead of Sandbar's) wouldn't emphasise the age difference between the two enough.
