A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

When we're done, there won't be anything left.I might dress up as Pinkie Pie for Halloween this year, by wearing a pink shirt and pants, an old pink wig that I have, and possibly using a temporary tattoo I have of her cutie mark that would go on my face like how the Equestria Girls dolls have their cutie marks on their faces.

@Thunders: I'm a peacock hippogriff. It was trying to make a straight up peacock based off of Pavo
but I couldn't quiet figure out how to dress up as a biped. So I improvised.
You could focus the costume on your forward-body, using your forelegs as the Peacock's legs. Then just covers your back-body in black and act like it isn't there.
Does Equestria have a Kabuki tradition? Probably not. But Earth has several theater traditions wherein anything covered in black is considered to not exist, which allows us to get around some trickier costuming elements like that. Of course, there's also just plain old symbolism and abstract costumes. I saw a performance of The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe where the Lion was just a mask on a sticks with a trail of ribbons behind it instead of a body, and the audience was left to fill in the rest.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.@Orion: Oh. Okay, now that you've explained it, I can see what you're going for. -stifles laughter-
At least you have your Nightmare Night costume done early. I still don't have all the parts for mine yet.
@Meta: Technically, I'm a smoldering dark gray. (Smoldering is Cloudchaser's word, not mine.)

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
