Because I've been framed. This gun shoots backwards.

Pretty crappy gun if it fires into the face of the firer. That raises even more questions too, like why was Marcen trying to shot something and what or who was the target?

So, how's everypony? I'm nearly done with my Nightmare Night costume, so that makes me happy.

Oh, I have to figure out my costume. I want to dress up as Twilight Sparkle for Halloween. Or maybe Midnight Sparkle, if she looks cool enough in the newest Equestria Girls.

Final Fantasy 6: So on to Final Fantasy 6. I'm going into this pretty much blind. All I know is that Kefka's the bad guy and he's really hated by players for some reason, apparently poisoning a city or something. Also, I saw the opera scene before and I know supplexing a train is involved. Also, Aerith dies. Anyway, I picked the GBA version because I'm assuming it has less bugs and I already have a GBA emulator installed.

Final Fantasy 6: Wait, they've got mechas? Graphics still hold up pretty well today. I can't tell if my buttons are actually advancing the text in the cutscene any faster than normal or not. And now for some Mode 7 action. Wait a moment, I recognize the credits music. That's ... Terra's theme right? I'm guessing that girl in the mecha suit is named Terra. Either that or it's the person they found in the ice.

The incredibly limited cuttoff distance in their pesudo 3d mode similuates the limited visibility of a blizzard I guess?

So gameplay time. It appears that I am ?????? the Magitek Elite. And I'm the one moving around even though I'm mind controled by Wedge and Biggs. They won't let me go backwards though.

Wow, there's surprising amount of customization over the menu colors. No idea what relics are. I turned on autodash since it seems useful. It appears that Biggs and Wedge have a full set of items too but I can't steal them. Shame, they deserve it. Oh well, enough messing about in menus and on to the game.

I just fried a dog and two guys and still have no idea what I'm doing. This real time battle system will take a while to get used to.

Why does it say Inn if I can't go in? Guess that's not a healing spot.

In the Narshe mines. Just figured out that if I just site there in battle the opponents attack again. Time to try to kill off Wedge and Biggs.

Wedge down, Biggs down. FREEEEDOOOOMMMM!!! ... wait, why do they still show up in the overworld. And is ?????? still being mind controlled? I demand answers!

So independent woman ?????? resolves to solo the mines and find the esper herself, only to run into a giant snail. Biggs and Wedge chat for a while about it despite being dead.

So ??????, I mean Girl, oh screw it, I'm calling her Katara from now on. Anyway, freeing Aang from the iceberg apparently teleports you into bed. I guess this is as good a point as any to stop.

@Story: OOC: The GBA port fixes a few glitches from the SNES version. The fixes aren't imperative to know unless you plan to play the SNES version.

I am eager to see how your LP turns out, especially since you are playing it blind.

As to Relics, you'll find them quick enough they are basically just accessories, each gives it's own types of bonuses. And be glad you have the GBA version, or the Goggles would do NOTHING!

And that is not a joke. Goggles prevent blindness. Blindness reduces your ability to hit opponents with physical attacks. But in the original version it didn't work, because a glitch in the code made all attacks go agsint magic defense rather then physical defense.

Anyway, have fun. Now the game really starts.

One thing that bothers me is how it just gives you 8 magitek attacks off the bat (plus 2 magic) and it doesn't give you any indication of when to use one or the other. There aren't any visible stats or anything. Do they even have different stats?

Of course you can win every fight in the prologue by button mashing anyway, so it's not that important.

@Story: OOC: How much do not want to be spoiled? I want to answer your question, but... well, spoilers.

A Taste of Power it doesn't matter what you do there, you are supposed to just ROFLSTOMP your way through that bit without any issue. It's once Terra wakes up the actual game starts.

The city poisoning thing never bothered me. I never got past the floating continent so I don't really know for sure why people find Kefka so interesting or hateful or whatever they think of him.

Sera, he's going into the game blind for a reason. Stop telling him everything that's coming.
