A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules

She was the scariest.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI don't have a favorite villain exactly, but continueing from the ones I mentioned Hades for his sheer personality and being the textbook example of Affably Evil, Ursula for being pretty cruel and having no sympathetic qualities, Scar for being all around badass, and Dr Facilier for combining sleezy charm with some great deal with the devil tactics and working with forces that are even worse than he is, something very rare in Disney villains.
@Kyler: I meant more in terms of her hero thwarting efforts. She's got one really good scene where she tricks Rapunzel into thinking Flynn had abandoned her, but other than that she's never really in control of the situation. Earlier in the movie she's just chasing after them, and after it isn't long before Rapunzel sees through her crap.
The Coachman is one of the most disturbing, even more so because he never gets thwarted. The more I think about it, that movie was actually freakin' dark.
If Bambi gave kids nightmares about losing their mothers, I'm surprised Pinocchio didn't give parents nightmares about their kids being abducted.
In terms of favorite villain, probably Shere Khan, at least in the first film. I admit Hades has a lot of charm though. I tended to like a lot of the 60s/70s villains since that's when they started the more Laughably Evil approach.

my favorite Disney villain? hm... three-way tie. Maleficent, Jafar, Scar. Ursula, Dr. Facilier, and Shere Khan tied for second.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I don't know who my favorite Disney villain would be. Maybe Jafar or Scar.
Reaction Image Repositoryonce again, multi-tie. Scar, "Be Prepared"; Ursula, "Poor Unfortunate Souls"; Dr. Facilier, "Friends on the Other Side"; Claude Frolo, "Hellfire."
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.@storyeller: In fairness Hook did almost kill the entire hero squad, kids no less. What's more his attempt on Pan was using manipulation. It's eclipsed by his bumbling and whimsy but Hook wasn't that pathetic.

That's exactly the problem. You can't have your villian just be the comic relief. Heck, Captain Hook comes across as more sympathetic then Peter Pan given his Butt-Monkey status.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play
It may come largely from the fact almost all incarnations of Peter Pan are douchebags. Disney even admitted to hating the film because he didn't find him rootable. Tinkerbell meanwhile was a Clingy Jealous Girl who tried to get Wendy killed. The other kids were okay, if mostly bland.
Granted Hook is now a pre school villain (as is Pete).

Frollo's was good, but I personally found "Be Prepared" to be the most memorable.
Reaction Image RepositoryI think I'd go with Frollo here too, but it is a tough pick.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI prefer the book where Peter was more or less the villain, in The Fair Folk tradition. He's an immortal, unchanging selfish person with the mind of a child who can never understand that keeping other children for the rest of their lives isn't a bad thing.
Wendy wasn't in any danger if she could just remember that she can fly. I suppose Peter Pan could have been killed by the bomb, but I had the feeling that he's probably bomb proof anyway given all his other hax.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play
Kinda spoils the climax if he does though. Granted Disney did allegedly hate the film.
From what I know Hook was one of their first attempts at a rather sympathetic villain in the series (most previous Big Bads were of the sinister kind), so maybe they were still having problems keeping the balance and still making them menacing enough they don't steal audience preference from the heroes.

I think Hellfire was more memorable, but YMMV.
Who is Pete?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play

What, just because she wasn't aiming to take over a kingdom or anything?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
