A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I'm sorry for your losses, Sunset. :(
The good news, you actually can trade pokemon with the emulator to evolve to Gengar. Here's
a tutorial.
Apparently they're switching servers and still working out the kinks. Here's the forum to report bugs
, but a quick skim of it looks like others are having similar problems.
Does Cerberus' escape from Tartarus, Celestia wanting Fluttershy to reform Discord, and the season 4 finale count as Arc Welding?
Eh, sure. I never really understood how to hack roms, myself, so I never bothered.
I wouldn't worry too much about getting a replacement Fire type, actually. From here on out, the only major opponents a Fire type is going to have advantages against are Lorelei's Jynx and Sky's Eggsecute/Exeggutor, both of which while be vulnerable to Suffering once s/he learns some Ghost moves, especially since I don't think either of them actually have any Psychic attacks that Suffering will be vulnerable to.
Let's see. At this point, your current team is:
- Gaia: Favorable match ups vs. Bruno's Onixes, Agatha's Arbok, Sky's Rhydon.
- W/Rock attacks, vs. Agatha's Golbat, Lance's Gyarados, Aerodactyl, and Dragonite, and Sky's Pidgeot and Charizard.
- Bass: Favorable match ups vs. Lorelei's whole team minus Jynx, Lance's Gyarados and Aerodactyl, Sky's Pidgeot, Gyarados, and Charizard.
- Roosevelt: Favorable match ups vs. Lorelei's Slowbro, Bruno's Onixes, Sky's Rhydon
- Vergil: Favorable match ups vs. Bruno's Onixes, Lance's whole team minus Gyarados, Sky's Pidgeot, Rhydon, Exeggutor, and Charizard.
- Aceria: Favorable match ups vs. Bruno's Fighting types, Sky's Exeggutor
- Suffering: Favorable match ups vs. Lorelei's Slowbro and Jynx, Bruno's Fighting types, Agatha's Golbat and Arbok, Sky's Exeggutor
That leaves you without favorable match ups only against Agatha's Ghosts and Sky's Alakazam, and the later should be beatable easily assuming Gaia is faster than it. Your main weakness is going to be Agatha's Ghosts, since your only Pokemon with a type advantage taking them on is Suffering, who has the same vulnerabilities to them. Unfortunately, you're kind of just up a creek in that regard. You can either take them on with Suffering and hope s/he's fast and strong enough to take them down first, or you can take them on with something with neutral typing against them. Aceria, at least, can hit them with Flying attacks while being immune to their Ghost moves, but most of them have Psychic attacks, too.
All in all, your team's pretty solid at this point. It might be beneficial to swap Gaia out for a Rhyhorn/don if you can catch one in the Safari Zone for STAB on the Rock attacks, but on the other hand you'll be trading speed for that extra damage, which could backfire.

Romhacking is Suffering.
