My gut says it's not because the start of this season felt like it's supposed to be about the halfway point of the series. And it wouldn't surprise me if the original plan was for the Big Reveal in Big Reveal to be teased over an entire season as was joked about.
CN cancelled the show. It wasn't Ian's decision. https://twitter.com/ianjq/status/1159503832100904960

Now I'm not happy.
Gotta go see it fast before it finishes to air its last episode.
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"And yet Teen Titans Go continues to shamble on like some sort of unpleasant thing that kills and feeds off of actually good shows in order to extend it's malformed parody of life.
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!A crossover with Space Ghost Coast to Coast was planned, but it was scrapped due to C. Martin Crocker's death. Here.

I mean, maybe it will get another season, but then there's also the recent one dabbling in longer form storytelling, a new character added to the dynamic, and the series having a generally meta nature from what I've seen of it.
It seems kind of like the series is acknowledging it's running out of steam; the last cartoon I remember doing that was (and was amusingly mentioned prior) Gumball, where it teasingly referenced the series was likely ending ("This show will end at Season _"), to alluding to the writers running out of steam (Gumball repeating himself when saying that writers are bound to run out of ideas and repeat themselves).
I might just be looking too deep into the meta humor, though.

Sad. But at least I can watch SGC2C if I wanna hear C. Martin Crocker as Zorak and Moltar. Or George Lowe as Space Ghost (BTW, Space Ghost appeared on Wacky Races (2017), but Lowe didn't voice him here).
Meta humor is my favorite type of humor.

"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Regular Show also got kind of meta with the episode "Meet the Seer" which all but said the show was ending and addressed all the complaints people had with the later episodes (the heavy focus on Mordecai's love life, with the seer even admitting she preferred CJ, the Halloween specials going down in quality, Eileen being shoved to the background).
Technically this isn’t getting cancelled—that would mean they stopped airing episodes that were finished and/or stopped developing episode that were previously greenlit. What happened here was the show wasn’t renewed.
And as Jones-Quartey pointed out, he at least had enough advanced notice to make the ending he had in mind.
Already did...with the best character, so guud.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. We technically got a crossover with EVERY CN show thanks to that episode (though I would have liked to see another crossover with Boxmore teaming with a bunch of villains from CN shows (within reason of course, supernatural ones like the Lich wouldnt fit, but characters like Mojo Jojo or Evil Con Carne could).
