@TroyandHawk: Rejected. You've got some wonkiness going on with your signup that makes it hard to read. In any case, if you want to have dual lightsabers, you'll have to make a single lightsaber the main weapon, and then have dual lightsabers as a skill. You have a few mistakes with your sheet in general, like items that don't exist until the time period of the movies. But ignoring all that, there's a lot of inaccuracies and incorrect terms in your background that I can't even begin to untangle, so I think it's best if you hold off from joining now, and maybe try again in a few months when you have more familiarity with the setting.

@daltar: Laira looks good. I'm going to hold off on giving people credits until a little later, I'm still trying to figure out what sort of specific economic situation we'll start with.

@Clawthewolf: Hit me up when you finish your sheet, but in the mean time, I'm not sure if Mandalorian Combat Training is an unarmed skill, or a sword skill - if it's the former, then she shouldn't start with two swords in addition to all her other things. I'm assuming "Gunslinging" means that that skill is what lets her wield two blasters, which is fine, I just wanted to make sure I'm not reading it wrong. The Mandalorian armor will most likely have to go, since it costs more than a starship, and while characters starting out modestly is one factor to consider, the other things is that I can't really handwave any reason for why she won't just be killed by a group of thugs who plan to steal her armor the second she gets out on the street.

@guyshane: You made him much weaker than you have to and can improve his abilities. I'm not so specific about weapon types that you have to specify his skill as "Heavy" blaster pistols, just blaster pistols in general can do. And because of that, you don't have to give him "Accurate pistol shooter" as an ability since he's already got that covered from having it as his weapon type, so you can replace that with another skill. His third skill, you can remove the "underwater" requirement and just make it general, but you have to specify if the type of combat is unarmed, knife, sword fighting, or some other type. He probably wouldn't carry so many items as he has now, though, unless they are things directly related to his skills.

@Sixth Saint: Still rejected. There's a minimum amount of effort that people need to put into their sheets before I can trust them to be in the game. You aren't meeting that, so I'll have to ask you to sit this game out.

@ L Mage: Looks good, but I just want to mention that lightsaber and sword skills are two different beasts, what with them having different mass distributions and styles and such. So if you'd like him to be skilled with vibroswords as well that would have to be a separate ability. I'm okay with him starting with one in his inventory since he doesn't have a lot of equipment otherwise, I just want to make it clear that he wouldn't show much competency with it compared to someone who is a skilled vibrosword user, so if you want to be skilled with it from the start then I'd suggest replacing one of the starting force powers he has.

I didn't intend for him to be skilled with the vibrosword from the start at any rate- if anything he'll adapt his lightsaber style to suit the use of his vibroblade better over a period of time, but there is no reason for him to have prior training it having grown up with practice lightsabers and the like.

The only reason I put vibroswrod in the first place was because he couldn't use a Lightsaber without drawing attention and getting questions asked that are better left unasked, and while most Jedi and Sith train with practice blades and Lightfoils that are weighted similarly to lightsabers, they are far less effective weapons and also draw unwanted questions (if less often). So, I figured better to have him be working with a new weapon and maybe sucking at it off the bat, then press against the WSOD right off the bat.

Well yea, I suppose thats what happens when you try to avoid making your character overpowered a bit too much, I'll fix it up when I have a bit more time.

@guyshane: Alright, Nith is accepted. Though by vibroblade, you mean like a vibroknife? And you didn't include it in his equipment list, but I'm assuming that his longcoat from his appearance is something with a heavy weave that makes it light armor?

Yes I did mean knife and no I didn't initially mean the coat to be armor but looking back on my sign-up I realize I didn't even give him any armor...so how about we just go with your explanation [lol]

Here we go, Nman. Let me know if anything needs review.

Name: Fera Dianiss
Sex: Female
Age: 26
Race: Human
Class/Title: Dresses like a scoundrel, actually an assassin
Alignment: Leaning Dark
Appearance: A mousy and unremarkable woman of slightly shorter than average height, Fera has dark brown hair, which she keeps just below her chin, and clear blue eyes. Her rather sharp features and aquiline nose are her most noticeable traits, but when working, she likes to attach two handmade “cybernetic eye implants” to her face to alter her profile and serve as a disguise. She wears simple but sturdy clothing – dark boots and pants, a grubby white shirt, and a worn leather jacket. Fera tries to avoid wearing clothing that bares her arms or legs, and actively cultivates a slobbish posture that hides the fact that she’s actually very fit.
Personality: While she’s good at what she does, most people call Fera eccentric at best. Generally pleasant or even cheerful, Fera is the sort to apologize to a door for bumping into it, an autotaxi for nearly being run over, or a guard for stabbing him in the stomach, all with the same degree of contrition. She enjoys her work immensely in the sense that she enjoys a job well done and likes to get paid, and she is very particular about making sure that her targets are thoroughly dead – not due to any morbid bloodlust, just due to a fondness for closure and certainty. While she prefers contracts that challenge her abilities, she’s not above taking two-credit stalk and slash jobs to make ends meet while she waits for bigger fish, and she overall lives a rather frugal, quiet life.
Primary Weapon Type: Blaster pistol
Armor Type: Light
Starting Abilities:
・ Wetwork – Fera is an assassin by trade, and is skilled with slipping her knife into the soft places of the human (and Chiss, and Zabrak, and Twi’lek, and so forth) body. While she does accept contracts for other methods, she prefers to use her knife when she can.
・ Disguise – Fera takes care to make herself look as inconspicuous as possible, either by changing her posture, stance and stride or by using clothes and fake cybernetics she can discard down ventilation shafts once the job is done. She’s recently been severely limited in the materials she has on hand, and has only her actual clothes and a pair of fake eye lenses right now.
・ Athletic – Fera is stronger and more fit than she looks. Being able to simply outlast pursuers after a job has saved her more than once, and she exercises to make sure that she can open windows and vent shafts, pull herself up onto ledges, and otherwise navigate the sludge-coated underbelly of Nal Hutta with ease.
Equipment: Clothing (sturdy work boots and reinforced pants, long-sleeved white collared shirt, worn brown leather jacket, thigh pouch and holster), knife (5-inch carbon vibroknife), blaster pistol, fake eye cybernetics
Credits:
Brief History: Born to smugglers on Nal Hutta, Fera has had a long and spotty career in the undercity slums of a planet already considered by most to be nothing but slum. Losing her father to black-market stimpaks and her mother to drug wars between rival Hutts left her to more or less raise herself from the age of fifteen; she took their money and bought herself a tiny apartment, then, finding herself choosing between several unpleasant options to keep a roof over her head, she chose to take up knifework instead of pillow talk and found an affinity for it. While she usually works independently, a recent need for cash and the sudden death of one of her contacts has left her in need of some slightly more stable connections – not that the Rancors are much on that front anymore.

Well, while I do like my varicolored humans, there isn't all that much difference to roleplaying a human or a Zabrak or so on, to be honest.

It's been fun.

  • Name: Hob Kayson
  • Age: an early 30
  • Sex: Male
  • Species: N'manians. Basically a bald human looking alien species, with red skin and golden eyes.
  • Class: Gunslinger/Scoundrel
  • Alignment: Neutral. He has a code of honor and won’t kill anyone who isn’t armed. He won’t hurt innocents and he doesn’t like to steal. However, he is a mercenary at heart and will kill anyone who is trying to kill him.
  • Appearance: Dressed like Han Solo with a black fedora and boots. Basically looks like your standard Western villain. Except…you know…he’s an alien. He’s about five feet tall and is well-built.
  • Personality: Prefers to keep to himself, though he does enjoy hearing about town gossip and what’s going on in the world – mainly to stay informed and to not get caught off guard. When he does work on a team, you know that he has your back. He’s very loyal to whatever group he is part of at the time.
  • Primary Weapon: A blaster pistol holstered to his belt. It can get off six quick successive shots before it overheats for two seconds. The bolts won’t pierce armor, though they will knock back anyone who’s wearing it.
  • Armor: Nothing except his clothing.
  • Starting Abilities:
    • Crack Shot: Hob Kayson is very accurate with his trusty blaster.
    • Quick Draw: Is known on Tattooine as the second fastest draw in Mos Eisley
    • Brawler: He knows enough about fighting to handle himself in a bar fight or street brawl.
  • Equpiment: His clothes, hat, and blaster are basically his only possesions that he carries on him.
  • Credits:
  • Backstory: Born on Tattooine to farm hands, Hob Kayson grew to be a hard worker. His father taught him to use a blaster pistol to help defend against Tusken Raiders. Though most other farmer children knew how to use a blaster, Hob was, by far, the best shot. He got a job in Mos Esisley, doing menial work. Occasionally, he was deputized when the need arose. Eventually, he quit his menial job and became a gunslinger for hire, being a town tamer at best and a bounty hunter at worst, depending on where he went and who was paying. An offworlder saw his shooting and reccomended that he get a job with the Rough Rancors mercenary group. Hob took the offer and ever since then, he’s been faithfully serving the merc group for about two years now. He was devastated when the Rough Rancor's last job went sour and had most of his friends die. He's a little bitter from that and is waiting to see what these new recruits will be like.

@Red Savant: Accepted. I'm glad someone's gonna be able to fit into the air ducts.[lol]

@Fantasy Liver: Hob looks alright, but much like I said about Nith, since you already have blaster pistol usage covered by having it as his primary weapon, you can replace "Crack Shot" with something else. As for his species, I don't want to have to call it by the unknown name, so you're welcome to make up a name, or else I'll just call that species "Onn".

[up] Okay, I'll add a species name. How about the N'manians? grin

@ Crack Shot - I see what you're saying but I don't really have another skill I can add. I think that I'll just leave the redundant skill up.

How much knowledge of the Star Wars pre-Empire universe is necessary?

Do you know what a blaster is?[lol] But yeah, you'll be fine if you know at least know general movie lore, and if you need to know specifics regarding places, and you can find out any interesting or needed things on the wiki.

  • Name: Liu ke Tianzou. Current identity: Hiro Gai
  • Sex: Male
  • Age: 22
  • Race: Human
  • Class/Title: Businessman from looking at him, Con Man from knowing him
  • Alignment: Neutral, leaning a bit towards Dark
  • Appearance: Hiro looks like your average hardworking businessman, except that he carries a self-defense stun baton. Slightly shorter than most, and rather slim, Hiro is someone you would never pick out of a crowd. His dark bangs fall to his chin on each side of his face, and he has a particularly disarming smile that professes innocence.
  • Personality: Hiro likes having friends, and is very loyal to them. On the other hand, business is business, and while he never cons a friend, everyone else is fair game. He is very jovial and easy to get along with, and even if he talks you out of the clothes on your back you'll feel happy to have met him... for a few seconds.
  • Primary Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle
  • Armor Type: None. Would you feel comfortable if a heavily armored human started discussing the stock market with you, and his amazing get-rich quick scheme you could buy into?
  • Starting Abilities:
    • Fast Talking/Persuasion: Man, is today your lucky day, because Hiro has a deal for you...
    • Fluid Movement: But when things go FUBAR and Hiro decides to make like a tree and get the hell out of Dodge, he'll climb up, go around, jump over, and slide under whatever's in his way to keep his head on his shoulders and your money in his pockets.
    • Sticky Fingers: Hey, it doesn't sound like a good deal for you? Don't worry, while we were talking, Hiro grabbed your credits... and your I.D. card. Thanks for the bank account!
  • Equipment: Communicator, Sniper Rifle, Stun Baton
[List of Stuff]
  • Credits: Leave blank for now, I'll give you your starting amount once your character is accepted.
  • Brief History: Well, as Liu ke, Hiro managed to con a Hutt... and whaddya know, crime lords don't like it when idiots take their things! So instead of Liu ke getting the payout of his life, he got a price on his head. Luckily the Hutt never payed enough attention to his appearance, so he assumed the name Hiro Gai and decided to join a bunch of badasses, because strength in numbers. Also he's broke as hell and needs cash.
