Inspired by Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, I decided to come up with an idea for a Shantae Racing Game; "Shantae: Crafty Racers"!
—
The story begins when a minotaur named Minotauros challenges Sequin Land to a Racing Competition. To participate in this competition, he provides "Crafts", special vehicles that can switch between land and water-based forms (Like a scooter and jet-ski, respectively). If Minotauros wins, he will force all of Sequin Land to cook him banquets for eternity.

The gameplay would be kinda like Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, with races taking place on both land and sea (No sky, though). This would even be reflected by the playable cast, who would wear jet-ski racing outfits by default (They would still have their traditional outfits as Alts, however). There would also be Magic Tokens, which would give you spells to help you during the race (Like "Pike Ball" or "Elephant Stomp"), including on some occasions Magical Advantages, which would be this game's equivalent of All-Star Moves, with each character having their own Magical Advantage and musical theme to match.
—
The base launch roster would be as follows;
- Starting: Shantae, Bolo, Sky, Mimic, Barracuda Joe, Mayor Scuttlebutt, Rottytops, Abner Cadaver, Poe
- Unlockable: Squid Baron, Techno Baron, Hypno Baron, Twitch, Vinegar, Ammo Baron, Tinkerbat, Risky Boots, Nega-Shantae, Minotauros, Alta, Luna, Patricia
—
Speaking of Tracks, the game would launch with 28 total. In Story Mode, 25 of the tracks would be divided into groups of 5 for the 5 Worlds, with each World ending with a battle against a big boss. The boss of World 5/the final boss of the game would be Gargantuan Minotauros, Minotauros as a giant, pink-ish, monster bull. The other three tracks, however, would be unlocked after beating the game, and would each be based off of the games in the Mighty series (Mighty Flip Champs!, Mighty Milky Way, and Mighty Switch Force!), complete with remixes of songs from those games.

So, what do you guys think?

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
That might work, it might not work, too many variables in play to figure out... at the very least, would these two be good update characters: Batgal (the humanoid enemies from Pirate's Curse and Half-Genie Hero's various scenarios), and Mermaid? Batgal could be a speed-type racer while Mermaid could be a handling-type racer.

What I thought was that, since Crafty Racers and especially the update racers would ultimately be non-canon with the main Shantae storyline, creative liberties could be taken and she'd be shrunk down so that she could be added to the roster fairly (She'd still be one of the bigger racers, just not as big as her canon size).
EDIT:
A Mud Bog Creature was another consideration I had for a playable racer.

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Name the racer Mini Giga Mermaid and make it her identical daughter or something
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRE: Wolf Thunder
What racer classes would the characters be, IE: top speed, acceleration, handling?
I imagine vehicles would be steam punky, as well as reflect the "Arabian Nights" Days theme.
I'd guess for some of the others:
- Shantae: Jack of All Stats
- Risky: Jack of All Stats
- Bolo: Speed
- Sky: Acceleration
- Mimic: Handling
- Rottytops: Acceleration
- Tinkerbat: Handling
- Rottytop's brothers: Speed

I never really got as far as thinking about Racer Classes, but I like your suggestions. Maybe also have Mayor Scuttlebutt, Techno Baron, Twitch and Luna for Handling, Barracuda Joe, Vinegar, Ammo Baron and Patricia for Acceleration, Squid Baron, Hypno Baron, Nega-Shantae and Alta for Speed, and Minotauros as a Jack of All Stats?
As for your question about Crafts, being Steampunk would be thematically appropriate for Shantae's setting, but I've only thought of them as Scooter/Jetski-like in shape to have a proper frame. I would want to go with other themes besides Steampunk for the sake of having a Craft Roster that'd be diverse and interesting.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Formerly referred to as Shantae 5, Shantae and the Seven Sirens sends the belly-dancing, hair-whipping, half-genie hero to a tropical island where Shantae and her friends encounter other Half-Genie allies, but they soon learn there’s trouble in paradise. As Shantae gets caught up in the island’s sinister secrets, she’ll use all-new dance abilities and instant-transformation Fusion Magic to explore the nonlinear, interconnected world where she’ll visit multiple towns, overcome treacherous labyrinths, and battle dastardly bosses. The game also features a new collectible card system that grants players the freedom to augment Shantae’s powers to suit their own style of play.

It might be they begin as antagonists then near the half way point it then it turns out the the new or old big bad was tricking them the fight or they have a good reasons to stop Shantae.
I saw I point out that the seven sirens may be all the other girls on the title if you remove Shantae (Risky Boots, Sky, Rottytops, and the four new girls who am going to call Doc, Grumpy, Bashful and Sneezy)

The fact that the "Seven Sirens" are the title focus may imply that those girls are indeed the antagonists in one way or another for one reason or another. I mean, sirens typically take advantage of others using their personal desires to get what they want.
