It is a good thing Captain America is not on The Defenders then, isn't it?
And speaking of Aquaman syndrome, the Incredible Hulk has to be the most worthless defender ever. He has no money, no magical powers and no intelligence. He just hits things, really hard, often things his teammates needed not to be hit really hard. They would be better off with Drax or something.

Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThe Hulk's psychic resistance, much like everything else about him, varies depending on his anger. During Onslaught, he was much more intelligent, making him less angry, making him more susceptible to telepathic attacks.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. The Hulk has come a long way from being a Rage Elemental. Now, he's basically just one of The Many Henshins of Bruce Banner, each a seperate character and identity.
I miss rage monster Hulk. He made sense.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.A little while back on SNL, there was a sketch about The Avengers movie (Jeremy Renner was hosting). It was pretty much 7 minutes of "Hawkeye's just a guy with a bow."
Embroiled in slave rebellion, I escaped crucifixion simply by declaring 'I am Vito', everyone else apparently being called 'Spartacus'.Can you have a Reverse Aquaman Syndrome? Like, something where the audience just goes 'this character is too powerful, I just can't buy them'? Since I mentioned my mother earlier, she had this problem with the Martian Manhunter in Justice League. "So, he's as strong as Superman, with most of his other powers too, plus telepathy, shapeshifting... Is there any power he DOESN'T have?"
as far as i know, no heat vision, he's not as invulnerable, and extremely flammable.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

It's probably just as well that the movie didn't play up Cap's shield to the degree that the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon did. When it's clocking some poor mook and smashing a castle tower in half in the same throw, there's something a bit weird going on. Around that point, I started joking that the only artifact in the series that was more magical than Thor's hammer was Captain America's shield >.>
