I do the same thing to my dog, who likes to bury herself into blankets and under pillows.

Alright, game's up at this link
, have fun, start planning. Your characters can basically be anywhere around camp, it's dawn so most likely they've only been up for a few minutes, or are just waking up. For the future, remember two critical things:
- Teamwork: Seriously guys, this is an RP, this is about talking with people. If you just have your character doing things by themselves, trying to be the hero, not working with others, and ignoring everyone else, then I can guarantee you that you're going to have a bad time.
- There's no "right" way to do things: This isn't a video game, there's no hard-coded way to "win", I'm not railroading you in any way, so don't think you have to find the perfect solution to problems. Thinking outside the box is highly encouraged. If this were an RP about me giving you only one viable option at certain intervals, this would be boring as hell for everyone. That said, there's certainly wrong ways to do things.
Camp Cutlass
- Supplies
- 4 days of food (including feeding the chickens)
- 16 hens and 2 roosters (in a cage setup meant for 40 chickens)
- Enough axes, shovels, picks, hammers, saws and miscellaneous tools for the workers to use for their tasks.
- A sizable amount of nails (enough to make rooms inside the ship, some sheds, or whatever initial things you decide to do (if you decide to do them) - though you'll need lumber for that)
- Ten extra crossbows
- Ten extra bows
- Forty extra steel short swords and daggers
- A few barrels of extra bolts and arrows
- Depleted giant magical crystal (imagine a basketball)
- Crate of seeds (Magically sealed, shouldn't go bad for a long time)
- All the things your characters have that I can't individually list
And remember that the only resources in the area that you know of so far are wood, ebony, and gold. There's water, dirt, and grass too, if you count those things. You're starting from basically nothing, but with a good amount of tools, so use your imagination and figure out what you think should be done. The workers will do what you decide, though if there's some division between players/characters about what to do, then the overseer will just handle assigning workers based on what you've said.
- Named NPCs
- Overseer: Nehrun Lowen - An older gnome man with a monocle. He'll tell the workers what to do if no one's around (which just coincidentally winds up matching what you guys decided what the workers should do) and manages them throughout the day.
- Overseer aka "Underseer": Jeffrey (Just Jeffrey) - A human man in his early thirties who is almost seven feet tall, has a lazy left eye, a shaved, tattooed head, and is essentially Nehrun's bodyguard and enforcer. He helps to encourage the workers if needed.
- Blacksmith: Tarmana Cavedusk - A drow woman who looks to be in her mid twenties by human standards, she's worked at smithing so long, could probably break you in two with her bare hands.
- Fletcher: Gathik Steelmist - A cat dude of some sort
, let's call the race "cat" for now. Probably early forties.
- Jen Beardfist
: Dwarf cook.
- Lita Aemanto
: Desert elf hunter.
- Garver Burmrod
: Gnome engineer.
- Urk
: Ogre tough guy.
- Rhavyn Nightshade
: Fairy scout.
- Overseer: Nehrun Lowen - An older gnome man with a monocle. He'll tell the workers what to do if no one's around (which just coincidentally winds up matching what you guys decided what the workers should do) and manages them throughout the day.
By the way, if I screw up at any time, let me know, it's totally possible for me to overlook things.

Cool. Don't know when I'll actually be able to post in there for my characters, (dealing with writer's block right now) but I can say Abathur would want some of the workers sent into the forest to look for tree saplings, and maybe some replantable wild crops.
What kind of seeds did we bring with us, crop seeds?
You are reading this.
Yeah, crops of some sort. What type isn't too important at the moment so I'm leaving it ambiguous for now, as someone was interested in making a farmer. That way if they do wind up making a character, they can say they were potatoes or corn or radishes or whatever suits them. In any case, since it takes a while to go from seed to plant, and there's a lot of pressing issues and setup that will probably have to get out of the way before anyone can deal with farming.

Making sure the area is secure before packing out sounds like a good idea. I suggest keeping most of the supplies and chickens on board the boat until we know it's safe to take it ashore.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Lumber will be most important. For shelter, storage and defense. Once someone tells him about Ebony, Volk will be most pleased.
Another thing the scouts will have to find will be stone we can quarry.
The hits keep rollin'!Not sure if I made this clear before, but the overseer is really more of a character of necessity who deals directly with workers so you don't have to micromanage everything. Anything he says in-character regarding using the workers, that's not me telling you But Thou Must! do this or that, that's me just making him continue with the chitchat, asking some questions, etc, like a typical NPC. What ultimately decides how the workers are used is what you guys decide.
Anyway, I can tell people want to start doing things, so I'll wait another day to give everyone a chance to finish up anything they wanted to do this early in the morning and figure out what the workers will be doing, then skip forward maybe an hour to just after breakfast. Then the day's yours to do with as you please.

There's no personal rooms separating everyone, and the tiny Kobold normally wears a cloak that makes him automatically less noticeable.
I'm willing to bet that at some point, someone decided to take a rest on a "sack" that actually turned out to be a sleeping Kobold; then after that Ixen decided he was only going to sleep on top of large stacks of luggage.
@How many chickens could we bring: Well, I suppose that ultimately depends on two things: how much space we could spare for them, and whether we're bringing adults or chicks, but in either case probably still a fair amount.
I'd say you can easily fit one or even two adult chickens for every square foot of space, (I'd go ahead and say 3 for every 2 square feet.) which wouldn't have to be very tall, (About a foot and a half I'd say.) and you could stack two or three of these flat cages on top of each other. Combined with the fact that we could then stack a crate of something on top of that as long as it wasn't too heavy, and I'd say it wouldn't be hard to justify bringing some.
So assuming three cages stacked on top of each other and 3 chickens for every 2 square feet:
Of course, as with the people, these chickens probably wouldn't all survive the trip. (Especially not if they started being used in place of rations.) If we brought chicks instead of adults, we could bring tons, but they would be even less likely to survive.
@From signup thread:
Just again asking Strat about whether Ixen's true status should be considered public knowledge. (A reminder if necessary: Abathur would have told Szena since she's in charge of security, but would have left it to her judgement whether or not to tell anyone else.)
