Honestly, the nuke already exploded, the colossal already dropped and made a city-destroying shockwave with us standing right there, it's the best time to be fucked, otherwise we basically go on by ignoring GM posts. And that's another level of bullshit. Personally I'd take the opportunity to establish what's happened thus far as a sort of prologue/act 1. Our team gets blown sky-high and survives with major damage to their machines, the colossal is left to roam free and Asgard gets destroyed from within. Cue timeskip. What happens after that I don't really know because it's Troy's world, not mine.
"incomprehensible metallic droning"@Troy: That could be interesting... Let's try that and see how it goes.
I'll wait for you to set the stage. The pilots will need to regroup at a friendly base and coordinate an strategy to take down that beast.
They're gonna need LOTS of firepower... So, maybe they could try to use the bomb that KK suggested back there.
"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"If one nuke only gave it facial burns and knocked it down, resulting in twenty/twenty-five miles of destruction why would anyone in their right mind think more nukes would kill it? By the time you kill the thing with nukes, the world would most likely be a desolate wasteland assuming it didn't explode or shatter into multiple pieces.
Though, I suppose that would be a good starting point if everything currently has just been the prologue. There could be the remnants of humanity inside space colonies and the Ascended have slacked off thinking all of humanity has already been killed. Assuming there's even pieces of Earth left, otherwise the Ascended could probably be gunning for the space colonies.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."

Well, that could fit in the theme of the fall of man if it causes major damage to the surrounding area, a sign that the Ascended are becoming more dangerous, as if we're going to suffer damage no matter how hard we try. But I'll stop railroading.
