How large is the average Kaiju? You say hundreds of feet tall but is there a more or less constant standard they adhere to? Is there such a thing as a standard size for mechs? All Jaegers in Pacrim are stated to be about 80 meters tall, which is about 265 feet give or take. Only Philosopherstones stated a height and weight, is it smaller than the rest of the machines, bigger?
Also I think I found an inconsistency in jashinsapostle's bio. He states his character was part of the USMC's answer to the Ascended and a pilot of a mk1 machine. If the war has been going on for nearly 40 years, shouldn't he be at the very least in his mid 30s if he piloted a first generation machine? Which would still place him as a really young pilot during his first sortie. Are we to assume the Mk1 machine he piloted was the first of the USMC's? If so, does that mean the USMC did not field their own Titans until very late in the war?
"incomprehensible metallic droning"I should've specified, my bad. The Marine Corps has always had the short end of the stick when it comes to funding, so they'd have to wait longer to build capable Titans. So a first generation Marine titan would probably be equivalent to a Third generation one built by, say, the army. Plus, I don't think they'd throw away any titan built that wasn't complete scrap metal.
