Oh man, are we actually getting A Story About Huntokar next time? Or was that just a teaser?
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."So we now have a concrete explanation as to why Cecil's brother that was mentioned in Cassette never showed up again. He never was this version of Cecil's brother. I wonder what happened to Cal's Cecil?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I'd guess something a lot more like Kevin.
Fresh-eyed movie blogEeeeeeh, I doubt it. For one, I am pretty damn sure that what happened to that guy was the result of Strex Corp, and not weird mirror shenanigans.
I have no idea how to do markups on this site; it's really unintuitive for me.
That just made me sad.
So I been listening to this show and others. I'm somewhere in the mid-50 area.
Also listened to Within the Wires and The Orbiting Human Circus (of the Air).
Fanfiction I hate.Welcome to our obsession, Pannic, it's nice to have you.
I couldn't really get into OHC. And I'm not sure I could handle another season of WTW. I thought I'd keep going with Alice, but after the first episode or two I haven't really felt inclined to keep up.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWell, with this latest update it sounds like we've got a bit of an upset in the status quo. Will things get less strange because of it? Somehow I doubt it.
The whole point is that the town is weird and they're going to stop pretending it isn't.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Well that sorted itself out pretty easily.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. It seems Nightvale runs on Your Mind Makes It Real to some extent.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I've been listening to "Conversations With People Who Hate Me," which is hosted by Dylan Marron (the voice of Carlos).
I don't really like Marron as the voice of Carlos (just the voice, really) but it's a great listen.
Fanfiction I hate.I'm pretty sure that's based on his talk where he looked up one of his Facebook trolls and repaid bitterness with kindness, which is a beautiful video, but I don't think I have the fortitude for a series of it.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI find it's a very good listen. There are some really good talks there.
Fanfiction I hate. What the Hell was up with these last three episodes?

Assuming you're talking about the eGemony thing, apparently there was a weird barista conspiracy or some shit involving demons(?).
No, I was making a post about "I really, REALLY do not get this because I'm eight episodes in and everything feels so lolmonkeycheese random. Why dafuq are they building a bridge out of bowls and non-dairy creamer? Why does Subway sell mashed potato and nutella subs? Why do things keep on not existing? Why is there a boardwalk in a desert town? Why is there a freaking lottery for getting murdered by wolves? That's all so fucking STUPID!"
And then somehow in episode 8, about partway through, the show just clicked for me. I really dig the disconnect between presentation and content, and a lot of this weirdness is pretty damn creative once I stop fridge logic-ing it to death.
It's entirely possible I was responding to the poster before you, as I was clearly answering a question and not responding to the nothing left in your post.
My point stands. I was a dumbass who had no idea what was going on, and surprisingly, this show has grabbed me in a way that this kinda thing usually doesn't.
This is a really effective horror story which takes great advantage of the medium of the podcast and uses all three parts well. A MASSIVE jump in quality over the lackluster egmony stuff.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I do enjoy the experimental format they've been taking this season.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?
I'm not sure what to think of this.
