Oh duh.

Well who else could have done it then...

Welp, the radio station's treatment of past interns has indeed come to bite them in the ass. Cecil you need to work at keeping your interns alive and taken care of.

So Chanterelle doesn't have to travel alone anymore. That's cool.

Assuming the next part of the story doesn't go badly for her and Sylvia.

As badly as breaking into a police station.

"All hail West Texas."

Chanterelle is taunting me specifically, I know it.

So now she's a criminal. Well, these things happen...

God this arc is creepy. I'm someone concerned about these "Hell" references as it feels like this is more of a lovecraftian idea of horror than the Judeo Christian one. But I suppose it pays off for the irony of the "hell hound" being a Beagle (which is in fact a breed in the Hound Group).

Oh, Night Vale's been through plenty crises. It'll get out of this one too. Maybe not everybody will live, but that's irrelevant.

I think that Cecil and Carlos will be fine. This arc hasn't impacted them much directly.

See how much better a story arc is when it doesn't involve the desert otherworld?

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.

Honestly it doesn't seem very interesting to me. It just seems like a Night Valey way to Put on a Bus someone for a time.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of the Desert Bluffs people have made their way to the Desert Otherworld, going by the previous episode.

Also, boy was this latest one disturbing. At least Maureen and Chad seemed to have come to their senses? Although too late to help the town, apparently. Especially in Chad's case.

So hey they're doing yet another new project premiering in the next month or so. By Jeffrey Cranor and a new writer and narrated by that writer. Who's interested?

Narrator talks about The Other Town

Additional:

Night Vale turns four years old today! And we find out more about the good boy.

Those were both something. I have mixed feeling about the sudden ending of Who's a Good Boy, but that may be part of the point of it.

Yeah, we know more stuff about the narrator in Alice Isnt Dead though we don't know her name yet, she has anxiety.

Yeah abrupt ending Where they go away on their own accord and could come back at any time

So does this mean Part 1 is now over? I kind of had the feeling that this was going to be all of the show, but they're clearly intending for there to be more eventually.

They've always called it Chapter One or Season One or something. They'll do more if it pulls in the numbers to get sponsors.

What does everyone think about the experimental series having sponsors while the core Night Vale program is entirely supported by donations and merchandise?

When Night Vale started no one expected to make a living off of it. Once it got popular it became self-sustaining basically immediately. I think it's smart that Fink and Cranor don't want to wait until they can sell out Alice Isn't Dead live-shows or Within the Wires T-shirts to start making money on their work.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

So I guess this can be the Nightvale Presents thread now.

I don't think anyone actually made an individual Alice thread.

Anyway, it's good to see they're branching out their story telling. They must get tired of doing just Night Vale.
