DON'T MAKE ME PUT ON MY SHIPPING GOGGLES AGAIN DAMMIT
Jokes aside, Nick makes a lot of amazing gestures that really show the strength of their friendship.
Also, I find it kinda funny that Judy and Nick have better chemistry than most Designated Disney Couples, not that those other couples are bad. Don't kill me.
Whether platonic or romantic, it's easily the best part of the movie.

Never had a pair in the first place. Every time someone tries to put some on me I have to drop them into Mount Doom. No shipping goggle here.
Also, yeah, if it actually was six months (which both makes sense but also feels sort of weird) then Nick is a helluva guy for holding on to that pen for that long. It also shows how much their friendship meant to him despite being hurt so bad that he wasn't willing to give that up.
The Blog The ArtAre people getting the six months thing from the newspaper Judy is wrapping carrots in though? Pretty sure those would just be old newspapers they're using, not the current ones. I could get behind one or even two months passing, six sounds like an exaggeration.
Edit: I just recalled the newspapers mentioning the predators gone savage stories so I guess it might be correct after all. Weird to think Judy just went sulking for half a year though.

Judging by the events that are shown, I think it's more likely that the majority of the timeskip happened between the press conference and Judy quitting than Judy being in Bunnyburrow. I can see her trying to wait it out and hoping things get better for several months, not so much spending six months without running into her parents' local business partner.
So, would you say this is the darkest Disney movie yet? Haven't seen it yet, but from what i've read, it definitely sounds that way.
I mean, what other Disney films have dealt with racism, police brutality, the War On Drugs, government conspiracy, corruption, and possibly class warfare all in the same movie, with Fanservice and Getting Crap Past the Radar, and heavy Film Noir influences on top?

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Bunny Barrows seems to fit in with areas of the Southern US, where trees can stay green almost year-round, depending on the area.
My fanfiction.net account, for those brave enough.Sometimes we think about it and that's why Fridge exists...
Ba-dum tssh.
That was funnier to me than it should be for some reason, good thing I wasn't drinking anything.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! Also Fantasia. Well ok, only the parts involving Chernabog.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Helps that the movie isn't about them romancing each other so we don't have to rush from "Hi, I just met you!" to wedding bells in less than two hours.

He adds batteries too!
EDIT: Awkward page topper. Need to add more meat.
I'm pretty sure that pen would've lost its charge at some point if it was that long. So Nick replaced batteries or charges it periodically on the OFF-CHANCE that Judy might come back.
And like an average male, he never explicitly says he's sorry and he misses her, never looks for her either. NEVER CALLS HER EITHER. note
Guys have a roundabout way of apology. Gotta keep the machismo up, after all.
