Can we just reconvene when we have something to actually talk about?

[up][up] It's hard to talk about the movie when you're interfering.

We also don't have much to talk about now in the first place even without Klark being mad.

We could talk about what role Alan Tudyk will have and how it will relate to the antagonist of the movie. tongue

Tudyk has already given voice to villainous characters in Disney's last three films, so it's likely he'll voice either the Big Bad or at least The Dragon. There was mention of a "conspiracy" in the blurb; somebody is seeking to Change the Game in Zootopia, and profit from it. Any ol' mook can commit a crime; it takes guile to frame the fox for it. Hopps goes to bring the fox in, but gets shown proof that a much bigger criminal enterprise is underway. The mastermind snarls, "They know too much. Eliminate them." And apparently, the whole Evil Plan becomes irreversible after 48 hours.

So, 48 Hours meets Capricorn One, if my conjucturing is at least close.

Who holds the record for appearing in the most Disney movies right now, because Alan Tudyk seems to be on his way to breaking it.

I dunno. Phil Harris, Sterling Halloway, and others have been known to appear in several Disney films too.

Don't forget Thurl Ravenscroft. I think either he or Sterling Holloway may have the most credits in the Disney Animated Canon.

.... where did anyone hear that one character would be voiced by Shakira??

Jim Cummings is also a strong contender (appeared in: Rescuers Down Under, Aladdin, Aladdin II: The return of Jafar, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, The Hunchback of Notredame, Hercules, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas, The Lion King II, Pocahontas II, Tarzan, Atlantis The Lost Empire, Return to Neverland, Hunchback II, Tarzan II, 101 Dalmatians II, Jungle Book 2, The Lion King One and a Half, Brother Bear 2, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, Princess and the Frog, Wreck-It-Ralph).

And if you go into his tv work for Disney, that amount quadruples. I'm also sidestepping every single Winnie the Poo, Goofy, Mickey or Donald property he worked in because that would also double the list.

[up] I was talking about in the Disney Animated Canon. But if we're counting that and spinoff material...I guess Jim takes the cake pretty easily.

Anyways, does anyone know how we found out about that gazelle character?

Shakira will play a gazelle... named Gazelle. It was revealed in the D-23 event.

Thanks for the link to where you got that information from!

Gaon, I don't think we're counting the direct-to-video movies.

So that should cut the list down to Rescuers Down Under, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Atlantis The Lost Empire, Princess and the Frog, and Wreck-It-Ralph.

Still gives him 11, not a bad number at all.

Still, even without the direct-to-video movies, it's still quite a bit (Aladdin, Mulan, Lion King, Hercules, Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Wrekc-It-Ralph, Pocahontas, Tarzan, Atlantis the Lost Empire and The Princess and the Frog).

EDIT: Ninja'd.

Pretty much, really.

Man. I saw the trailer for this before Inside Out, and the furry jokes were obvious, but that...

Okay, Disney, sure. I do not hold this against you whatsoever.

Man, I know everyone has probably said this before, but I only just saw the trailer yesterday, and I am still so baffled that they felt the need to explain the concept of anthropomorphism. Also "like nothing you've seen before" is the worst tagline when it is so much like multiple things I have seen before.
