Tokyo Xanadu eX+ Gets July Western Release Date on Switch
(the game was planned for June 2024 but is now targeting July 25).
Way too close to Daybreak for me to be able to afford that on launch sadly.
Also really infuriating how they are not patching the already existing versions with the new translation considering how bad it still is.

I believe the new Xanadu version is from a different publisher, so no chance of upgrade path. Part of the same reason SMTV isn't getting a patch and is in fact getting delisted.
Nope, Akysys has always been the English-language publisher for Tokyo Xanadu.
I mentioned this before but the new English translation is being made current and former members of the Geofront. So this time, it is in good hands and the most likely reason that it is being somewhat delayed.
After all, you can't rush art.

Vanillaware is now looking for staff members for their upcoming work (specifically programmers, 2D animators, and background designers).
Damn already getting back to work. Hopefully UO gave them enough money for this new project.
