Yeah, there's nothing wrong with creating actor pages. That one probably needs an expanded description, and a picture would be nice, but there's nothing wrong with it.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. While There Is No Such Thing As Notability, I think "tropability" should be a rule for creator pages: they should either link to work pages that list tropes, have a trope list of their own, or both. Only the truly irrelevant would fail this test.
That said, I'm worried about the proliferation of a large number of poorly-described pages for bit-part actors, work-for-hire writers, and production-assistance companies; even where they do get credit, their creative contributions can be unclear. This already seems to be happening with animation studios, but I'm not sure the problem can be solved without throwing babies out with the bathwater.
Well, see, this is why I created this thread. It's clear to me that there are standards to Creator pages that have to be set, but I don't have the faintest idea what those standards are. If the other tropers don't have any idea either, then they'll have to get together and make some decisions.
I did set up a lot of Creator pages to provide Wicks to the show Revolution. But the thing is...I don't know what would make sufficient descriptions in Creator pages. Also, I have never uploaded images to any page before, and while there are images for actors and stuff across the Internet, I have to wonder if there are ones in the Public Domain. Not to mention that some of the pages I did set up are on child actors who wouldn't have that many credentials (or tropes) to associate with them at the present time.
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee! The problem with the Nestor Serrano page is that it's just a complete filmography and nothing else - no description of the actor and his work, no tropes relating to himself or his work, and no effort put into it besides copying IMDB's listings for him.
All of the Creator pages I've done (like Joan Crawford or Sammy Davis Jr.) have all of these elements, presented in a straightforward fashion. I've also had to rework several pages (like Lance Henriksen) because it was also guilty of being a filmography and nothing else.
I believe that if you're going to do up a Creator page, put a bit of time and effort into it, and not just use it as a Pot Hole linking back to another work. There are far too many of those pages floating around on the Wiki.
EDIT: Oh my God, that Revolution page...I honestly laughed when I saw how many creator pages it was wicked to at the bottom of the page. What the hell?

Well, -cough-, that was me. I take the stance that Creator pages should qualify as index pages. That, and I figure a page that has loads of index pages at the bottom will really stand out. Am I wrong here? <Concerned>
That also leads me to asking a big question: should Creator pages be made into index pages?
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!I suspect this is more of an aesthetic preference than a real problem, but there is an issue with making creator pages work indexes that hasn't been mentioned: The indexing at the bottom of each page that allows readers to flip through the entries on the index.
Given that the number of one-person shows (not just performing in the work, but production-side stuff) is probably so close to zero as to not really matter, if creator pages were all work indexes the bottom of the page could get ridiculously long, and possibly wind up exceeding the length of the rest of the page's content (especially All-Star Cast works, with a metric butt-tonne of famous people involved that are generally more likely to have creator pages here).

All your safe space are belong to Trump

I think this is a fair question. You have the Actors page for instance, that has a lot of pages listed and the page states straight out that it's not supposed to be emulating IMDb.
There was one troper who actually had an issue with me setting up a page with Nestor Serrano. What's wrong with him? He has plenty of credentials to his name, and if anything he deserves a mention at least. At least, that's what I think.
